Are you actually racist or no?

Originally posted by 哈哈你看不懂中文 You said that second generation immigrants were a problem.
is flatly wrong, I never said that. I also didn't say "assimilation is a myth". My thesis here is that the SF Chinese population isn't getting particularly better assimilated as time goes on. I didn't attach a value judgement to that although apparently you did, my only point is we don't have particularly good reason to think that cultural enclaves will just naturally dissipate in some inevitable entropic process.
You keep shifting back and forth between talking about second generation immigrants and people with chinese so let me pull the numbers for you and avoid the risk of you having any more of your little "typos":
Of those who primarily speak Chinese at home (a majority of the total population with Chinese ancestry) 63% of them don't speak English "very well"
Of people who were born here, the school system and larger culture has failed to assimilate at least 12% on the most basic level of teaching them language
That 12% figure is a lower bound and from just the statistical data could be as high as 100% (although obviously this seems unlikely)
Note also that being able to speak a language is not the same thing as assimilation. Many people who speak English in the US are not assimilated in the American culture. And again, being the one who, you know, actually lives here, my experience is that the cultural divide between the Chinese community and the rest of the city is relatively sharp even among those with English fluency. -

Can't keep a conversation going when you keep saying assimilation isn't happening. News flash, san Francisco doesn't matter -

Lol, look at you looking for any excuse to turn tail and run. It'd be a lot less pathetic if you just admitted you didn't know anything about this subject, instead we get "typos" when you can't extract a simple stat from a paragraph of text and now transparent evasion in saying the subject we've been discussing for like three pages doesn't matter. -
2017-12-10 at 3:57 AM UTCAll I'm saying, is you have your blacks, and you have your niggers. It's not rocket science, this is how people are.

I know you're trolling, but this attitude is prevalent among immigrants in the US and that's why a lot of people dislike them
Their children seem to assimilate fine though so as long as immigration is kept somewhat in check the problem ought to solve itself in a couple decades -

it all boils down to supremacy.
dont forget the white race have a history of going around invading other countries and impose their gott, cultures, language and way of life forcefully onto their newly invaded subjects.
without claiming racial or cultural supremacy, what basis do you have to expect me, the immigrant to learn your language and culture in order to assimilate
instead of
you learning my language and my culture in order for us to assimilate into each other ... in the spirit of diversity ??? -
