I can't even enjoy the game offline anymore because I know how much it's actually pissing me off. This isn't a hobby anymore. It's a pile of shit. Fuck you.
FUCK!
That's how I feel about CS. 1.6 in internet cafes was the shit, you play the same people, you know how good or bad people are, if you're going to do well or bad in a given game, it was just fun to play. Then I started playing GO years later and if you play in ranked matches people go apeshit over performance, you actually have to train for a fucking video game, and since you advance to the point of not being able to advance anymore as soon as you put in less effort than before you slide backwards. It's not fun, not at all.

I can never get competitive over videogames. Or angry. Have never understood that.

Man, that Asian kid schooled me so hard at basketball, all I can think of is this rain clearing up so I can go out and practice. I want to shoot three pointers from halfway across the court.

This kid was like 5ft6 and looked about 16-18, holy shit he was fast as a fucking squirrel. We played to 15, final score was 15-6. The only way I got 6 was because I've been practicing shooting a lot and he couldn't block me when I did a step back shot. I think little guys have the best agility

I literally could not care less about competition. I do good things for myself. Being all competitive takes the fun out of it to me. I feel like people who do like to be competitive need the ego boost for one reason or another.
Last time I did anything competitive was like a year or two ago. Big soccer match. My team won.

Also not saying the ego boost is bad, I just literally get zero of it when I win, and lose zero when I lose. I get more boost from solitary accomplishments.

There's nothing strictly wrong with not being competitive but I think everyone should have at least one regular, competitive outlet. Video games are an easy one; find a game you enjoy playing, then get really good at it and play other people.
Competition gives me such a rush. There is something special about having an opponent that you can go all out 100% on, and then crushing them. But there's also something incredible about going 100% and losing, especially being crushed. And therein is the difference; some people get dejected, say "fuck this" and quit, competitive people go and practice twice as hard because they want to shit on people and don't want to lose ever again.
