    Look at these two...

    http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/mother-daughter-duo-busted-250g-staples-gift-card-scam-article-1.3574944

They ordered the e-gift cards online, then called Staples Customer Service line and tried to get an override on the transactions(most weren't), and the ones that worked totaled over $250k.

This is how I always thought it worked. When I was in retail, when I totaled out the transaction and told the register that the payment had been made, it'd do a little thing for a second that was clearly it telling the issuer that the card has had funds added to it.

There is something that worked for this guy though. I'd like to know what it was...

Messaging back could be done by pressing a single button that is under the clothing.

the only thing he stole was a piece of plastic, worth literally nothing, with a few numbers marked on it.

The article claims that it works. If it didn't, I doubt they'd put his picture on the news.

Maybe he had a bunch of items and handed the cashier the gift card first, and then after the cashier loaded it, asked if he could put it in he pocket so that he wouldn't lose it, and then later pulled out the second one and handed it back to the cashier.

I can actually think other ways a person could go about this...

So this guy went up to the cashier with two gift cards(one was likely hidden in his sleeve or something), had the cashier activate one of the gift cards, switched the two gift cards, told the cashier he had no money, and left with the activated gift card.

I had thought that the card didn't have funds placed on it until the end of the transaction. Does this mean that the cashier needs the same card to remove the funds from the card?

So I have an idea and would like for all my niggas to help me make it become a dream. It's a simple idea that I came up with on my own, but after searching, it appears that other great folks have already had the idea.

Basically it's an app that translates SMS messages to morse code and vibrates them so that they can be read without looking at the phone.

I just got a smart watch that cost somebody almost $300 and I'm going to make a little app for it that will translate SMS messages from my phone to morse code and then vibrate them to my watch that I keep under whatever jacket or sweatshirt(I just re-did my wardrobe and have like $1000+ in new jackets, coats, fleeces, and sweatshirts alone) I'm wearing sleeve.

I haven't even started on the app and I've never designed for Android Wear but I'm downloading some tuts and it'd all be open source.

    Thank you for your time.

We should make something that makes it simple to buy Bitcoin with a prepaid card.

As far as staying more anonymous, have you considered just using a cheap prepaid service for religious/political/other things?

$50 is a small price to pay for a completely separate internet service that's not attached to you. Plus, you can constantly replace those prepaid devices along with accounts(email, forum, etc) and erase a digital trail.

Your only problem would your location getting logged via stingrays. But there are ways around this, to an extent...

    Radio-mesh seems reasonable.

Well, I'm starting to realize that a lot of college grads aren't very smart. There seemed to be quite a few when I was in retail and they were just regular workers.
