as for age, i suppose that if a student proves to be exceptional in some way or another, he can begin to commute to the university after physical training, before the age of 18.
i would only include actual 'modern soldiering' education in the last two years of primary education, 16-18, but teach the fundamentals from age 8-18. boxing and wrestling. perhaps squad tactics with simunition? shooting 8 year olds with plastic bullets would certainly harden them. it would come down to 'you can't win fight's against americans'.
moral and philosophical indoctrination would be insinuated in everything one way or another, so that the young grow up with the correct ideas and attitudes.
you missed the point of puberty being the age of when extensive physical training is most appropriate and effective. puberty is when the human body naturally and ideally begins physical growth that can be harnessed. adults can be 'ripped.' children should not be. the ideal physical state of pre-pubescent children is 'lean' with a slight emphasis on 'pudgy.' all children should be on a high-protein diet to start with...then when they hit puberty it should go even higher.
im not into forcing people to do anything. if a person cant have free will they may as well live in north fucking korea.
'modern soldiering' involves a whole helluva lot more than the infantry tactics you focus on.
the entirety of a 300-plus-million population cant all be soldiers...nor physically/mentally capable of it. there needs to be scientists...educators...builders...garbage collectors... -
