   We've already been down this path with both Zoklet and Totse. Three times the charm? Once you start banning half the active accounts, the place becomes stagnant, people start to bitch, and the site ends up getting shut down entirely. Is it really worth it just to keep one account illegitimately banned?

   But there's also at least a hundred already-established accounts here which are basically wide open to commandeer. People used really dumb passwords which are super easy to crack. Closing reg would only step things up another notch and make things even worse, with people suddenly losing access to their accounts and having to be banned for spam.
