For example, he said that the Syrian army attacked its own people before firing missiles at them, when he knew all along it was a false flag perpetrated by John McCain and Co.. He also knew full well the attack on the oil tanker was not the Iranians, and yet he went on national television to say it was them. He also claimed Soleimani was about to carry out an attack on the US before executing him with a drone, but he already knew that was not true. That's just a few examples of him lying. There are many more. He has no problem lying to get what he wants.
