looks like even more people are falling off the turnip truck

As long as it wasn't yesterday, they're fine.

Are you trying to allude to the (false) notion that you are Jeff Cunter? Because now you rally are confirmed for delusional.

Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.

no he wasnt. All he said was that people these days dont use conventional BBS systems and that the forum style boards have a much larger user base in the current year.

He said BBSs are now "basically non-existent" and used the words, "dial up". That's good enough for me. And even if he were implying otherwise, I could list hundreds of Telnet-based BBS hosts which are still in operation today. He's wrong, wrong, and wrong again.

    Confirmed for delusional.

I doubt you were part of the "we" you refer to.

I was one of Totse's very first members, and I am one of the very last. You would be very surprised at who I really am.

Only because you hardly have any.

I have a full head of hair and no sign of any balding whatsoever. I've always been very virile. It's in my genes. I come from a long line of super-humans.

p.s. you don't scare me, kid

I did not get that impression at all. Clearly, you'll try anything to sound relevant.

Face it, bootlicker, he was caught with his pants down in his great haste to bury me.

…That was a pretty smart move.

Back then, we didn't empty forums. We actually worked to better them.

You people should have been forum-lynching the traitors, not getting your personal yahoos and guffaws in at the expense of Community. Shame on you all. For shame. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You're all absolutely shameless.

Windows XP, the l33t3st of haxx0rz OS..

WinXP is a much more stable, smooth, issue-free and compatible OS than any other, and outperforms even the new operating systems. If something ain't broke, you don't need to "fix" it. Only lamers need a new OS as their security blankets just to feel cool.

The "&" was added to the beginning of the Temple of the Screaming Electron's name because, betabetically, it brought the site to the head of the list of other BBS sites of the day. And it worked. Every list of BBS sites (BBS master index) displayed Totse's name first over all the others.

You trying to tell Lanny anything about compsci, anything at all is like a highschooler thinking he can teach a physics major some equations. Now please proceed to die in a fire.

Well, egghead or not, he was wrong. He was attempting to infer that the old ASCII BBS software couldn't run on anything but a dialup connection. That is just not true.
