    It's a direct message, in that it's not an indirect message. Indirect messages sometimes take days, or even years, to arrive at their destinations. Like a message in a bottle; that is an indirect message. Smoke signals are also indirect. Any old Tom, Dick or Harry can see the damned message before you do, so that's not a direct message. A direct message is more like a punch straight to the face than like a disease which takes your whole family and leaves you for last.
