2023-09-27 at 6:09 AM UTC in I can't believe it took me this long to read the Qu'ranAnd its fucking awesome. Its like the book of Revelation spread out over an entire book, and the prophet Muhammed was badass. It was hilarious reading the wiki about it - "Some critics of the religion speak against how Muhammed treated his enemies..." LMAO
Growing up in Christian school, the bible is like fluffy complicated shit with annoying analogies and too much magic water walking not enough hellfire. The Quran is straightforward and metal as fuck. Its so intense I half start expecting it to start reading "And thy enemy will taste the fucking punishment! And when they scream from the motherfucking hellfire and run for relief, hellfire shall engulf them the fuck up in the disgrace of forever, bitch" like holy shit hell yeah, now THAT is what I'm talking about Allah, the most high.
Going to get a physical copy of the book soon, but I like the various Muslim apps too. Its like way more interactive than Christianity. The app even tells you what direction to pray. Now THAT is what I look for in an ancient religion. It also starts randomly singing Islamic tunes 5 times a day when I am supposed to pray, but I am learning. -
2024-09-18 at 7:15 AM UTC in Satisfactory is fun (Saying gaming is something that should be stopped as you get older is weird)Generic screen shot of my truck depot I got working the other day, but I am far past this now.
I'm trying to figure out oil and all the plastic/rubber ratio bullshit again. Still quite a few bugs in the full release but honestly with all the content and possibilities and shit they fit into this game its still good.
It like drip feeds you all these quality of life upgrades where you keep saying maybe one more phase or tier and then I'm done, but then you unlock the new shit to fuck with and its like "oh"...well I guess I'll play some more
I'm playing because it just went full release, I stopped playing during early release because it got too complicated. And its getting too complicated again but I don't care I'm in it to win it this time. I'm still doing the same stupid mistakes and I told myself I wouldn't play like this this time. I rush and make everything look like shit and function poorly for the sake of hurrying up to get the next quality of life update. I said when I got the jet pack and it was easier to maneuver I would start having fun by actually taking my time and making things look aesthetically pleasing as well as functional, but I'm still slapping shit together all willy nilly. I'm about to tear down my test oil power plant because it only functions half the time and make it nice.
You forget how annoying the game is too, but they added something awesome to remedy it. I have memory problems anyway, half of the game if you forget something you have to travel back and put it in your inventory which I was doing alot, and you need alot of supplies to build, but they added in an alien technology (also something you must harvest resources from) that allows your parts to be stored in a cloud of sorts and you an access them wherever you are, which has totally changed.
Not that anybody has said I'm too old to be playing games or anything, but yeah, I was thinking how ridiculous the sentiment of stopping playing games when you get older is odd as fuck because like, think about it, games rely on technology which inherently improves over time.....and granted while advanced at the time, all my favorite games currently besides like, Zelda:OOT or Command and conquer or something had been unable to be developed because of the technological restrictions.

2023-11-17 at 2:58 AM UTC in Albion online actually ain't badPretty intuitive and pretty legit sandbox. Graphics are easy on the eye and warm and inviting. I feel like this is much more rewarding and better than, say Runescape. And it's free but you can like buy premium with in-game silver n gold.

2023-11-17 at 6:41 PM UTC in Albion online actually ain't badlmao did you actually watch the video? The company came to him and asked him to play, and he was like "I'm going to give my honest opinion and it probably won't be good" but they sponsored the video anyway and he ended up saying it was pretty good lol he gave it an A-

Originally posted by mmQ It definitely felt "botty." I understand that poker logic has changed a lot since 10 years ago and theres a lot more theory behind it, so it's definitely more difficult to be successful at it than it used to be, if you don't know exactly what you're doing. A lot of these pros follow very mathematical formulatic approach to it all, akin to counting cards in blackjack.
If you play every hand the exact same way you're "supposed to" and follow pot odds and such, you'll always come out marginally ahead. I don't have time for that shit so I still just play recklessly and hope for the best.
But yeah there were a few games where I would have pocket aces like three times within ten hands which is absurd, and then one game where I literally went 28 hands in a row without getting an ace or face card. That was when I knew it was fucky. The odds of that IRL are beyond astronomical even if you played all day every day for decades, let alone me experiencing it after a week of playing for the first time in years.
I forgot to say though $500 nice job tho. I'd be exhausted, I get mentally taxed just playing with fake chips in multi-table replay poker tables. Yeah that does sound fishy. Remember when I played with you when I was poor with chips and you casually went all-in with like 50k and lost it and I was like OMG
The online casinos like Roobet and Stake are fun af too but same rules apply. I turned $10 into like $110 with that "Multiply cash X 1.2% every second but lose it all if don't cashout" game but then it was just too much god damn fun and I lost it all. Man lame ass gambling laws I wanna gamble in RL right now! -

2023-10-13 at 12:57 PM UTC in Luddite here, I dunno about you but you should be conspiratorial by 2023I remember posting on forums on my CRT monitor, all excited and into technology. I've worked at repair shops and enjoyed working on hardware for the most part, tiny screws and interesting engineering and design that goes into our devices is pretty cool. Software can be fun but troubleshooting is a pain in the ass. Shout out to programmers special minds who can sit there and debug fucking code all day, that shit is torture.
I remember talking the latest video cards and processors with friends. Looking forward to the future of gaming and all the awesome physics that will make future games. I feel like gaming is a good example of what is being done with every sector in the world. The entire industry is like, artificially bottlenecked or cheapened on purpose for some reason. There are good examples on tiktok and other short form media comparing the physics and interactive environment of games 5-10 years ago, with the stuff currently coming out. Spoiler alert, the stuff 5-10 years ago looks better, and you can do more, more destructible environments, etc. And the funniest part, the modern games take literally 10 times the hard drive space.
At some point in the 2010's I thought "Okay, we get it, graphics pretty, but we all see gameplay is where it's at. Everything is capable of some pretty awesome graphics now, so we are about to get some sick advancements in gameplay (Such as several hundred players on a server at once with physics running smoothly and accurately)" And it was to the point where I was almost certain the software developers were in cahoots with the hardware companies, and they were more worried about working together closely to keep things mediocre long enough for "technology to advance" aka get more expensive, and force hardware upgrades if you want to play the new software.
Apple's planned obsolescence is most blatant. I used to hate them, but after spending ample time repairing their hardware and being annoyed with iTunes and iCloud, I came to enjoy their mobile device. But it feels so sloppy when I format and my 2014 macbook air seems to chug along. I mean, its pretty damn old in tech years, but making basic shit feel slow on a freshly formatted operating system, its like you can feel them and their always connected servers forcing updates that will fuck you. I remember Apple was the first platform that I ignored software updates long enough once because of low space, eventually even with like 1 gig free it was like "Okay, still don't have the space, but we're going to make this work, I'm going to magically allocate space to update". And I swear it did just that.
BUT I'm rambling, I don't know about you niggas, you niggas who've been apart of these and other simple forums, where humans come together, post, make keen observations and join together for "intelligent" discussion of various personal and theoretical and world events.
BUT, its been quite entertaining seeing "them" pretty much neuter and divide up the internet into these mainstream social portals that's JUST enough to bring us all within reach of each other, but still keep our experiences and probably the information we're fed different enough to keep us divided about particular topics.
So now, with AI and how far we've come, the world not getting better but seemingly worse, it just seems more obvious than ever. I feel like by now we should have all agreed on certain humanitarian things, and reduced overall suffering in the world. Technology and the internet as made a market out of everything, and it's hard to fathom that there are still whole vast swaths of the earth where food and water is apparently still a thing of sparsity, It's strange seeing people that can get rich and famous by literally sitting and eating food in an entertaining way.
In America there is a feeling of detachment, and everyone has some honor of looking out for themselves and their family by "gettin dat bread" but it just feels like everyone screwing each other over and hoping to get a decent item/service without getting fucked over. Feels like fighting for scraps, and being happy for those scraps just because of geographical location.
Like I'm not trying to be some moral faggot, I don't volunteer to feed the homeless myself (granted I stay poor because I don't know how much time I have left, and I value my time more than anything) but shits obvious. I feel like God put me here for a reason, and in getting more spiritual after the negative health impacts of Covid, I feel like in hindsight, everything HAS indeed happened in my life for a reason, and even if I had some severe negative health event happen tomorrow, when I would have been pissed at God before, would just accept it as what is supposed to happen. Okay I'm getting on another tangent, and I don't even remember if I made my point, but I'm not gonna proofread this shit cause then I'll probably deem it surface-level, introduction to technophiliacs and technophiles 101, and delete it.
In conclusion, I don't know how to prove it mathematically, or even grammatically, but there is a way on like a chart or something that proves some sort of evil nature, in direct correlation with life-improving technology. And it should be more blatant than it is, and more than some obscure forums should figure it out.
EDIT: All this technology and I can't edit the fucking title -

Things get a little messy and I quit, because it's not perfect and it can never be perfect. I kinda wish I was the other kind of perfectionist.
Right it can be stressful being a perfectionist. There is a fine line between being thorough and perfectionist. I fuck up as well, so I try to focus the perfectionist on the small things I can do perfect aka grill the perfect quesadilla or perfect room/gym organization. I too quit early if there is the slightest hitch or flaw early on. Depending on the matter, its a correct way of thinking. Some things, despite small bullshit like that, are worth fumbling and audibleing through, for experience and/or end result. I'm sure you know this I'm just re-iterating for post sake.
Perfectionist even when making a post can be annoying as fuck, believe it or not this quick 30 second post, turned into like 6 minutes of me retyping, because I kept mixing some try hard smarty talk with I don't even know, long compound sentences God damn -
2023-09-29 at 8:31 PM UTC in Meeting my neighbor πͺ (a story of broken wood)I was working out carrying weights down the road when I saw a couple loading a couch in their front door. I asked if they needed help and a females struggle showed it was quite a heavy couch. "Gday! Couch is a bit of a thing eh!" or something like that in a thick Australian accent. "Dude your from Australia aren't you!" and then I spoke of some people from Australia I follow and we eventually got the couch in we had to take off these screw on bottoms. I awkwardly even said some things in an Australian accent but I couldn't help it. Something in the heat of the moment like "Cripes! Couch is roight stook in there aint it!" (I say cripes regularly).
Anyway, I carried about 90lbs for half a mile, then 30lbs for a mile. -

Also the absolute monke level of petty rat fucking, a war of every man against every other, red in tooth and claw, merciless and mindless, unthinking and unending aggression that characterizes rust is fun for a bit but really wears me out after a while.
I agree, it is tiresome but so are the vicissitudes of fate, Lanny. Although I never say I'd never blame someone for not wanting to play a game for just those reasons, when playing similar survival I just feel like everything else is on easy mode in comparison. But yeah for casual playing and stress relief, you have to focus more on building and less population but its still there.
"Not all about muh graphics" nigga I mentioned I'm tryna play Dwarf Fortress alongside Rust you think I give a fuck about graphics good thing you don't play homie I'd be outside yo do'

Tell other white people in your red state and shake their worldview. I Love stuff like that ππ€π«‘πͺ
Interesting enough, I read the Qu'ran in most of its entirety a few months ago, and in the time since when socializing and it comes up, like with an evangelist I met while at my buddys hemp flower tent. Its amazing how as soon as you start saying "Allah" "Muslim", keywords like that in any context (even if its "Those Muslims believe...), you will get a confusing and like regardless of how hardcore into religion you are into, its like "I don't know what those dudes always praying to a rock and saying Allah is all about"...
Also Muhammed, as controversial as he might be, makes more sense than Jesus in the bible. And, I am going to talk to someone to make sure I understand what I read, but basically while all this shit was going on, Muhammed was off to the side taking note of things, and he noticed Jesus wasn't actually the son of God despite any magical bullshit they might have seen, but he sure did notice that it politically benefited those who bought into it.
Originally posted by Sudo Jihad isn't mentioned in the Quran at all, it's much more of a cultural practice than a religious one.
Alot of the Quran (which was revealed during a time of turmoil) talks about dealing with enemies and difficult people. Like way more than people tend to mention. I imagine those are the kinds of things people fixate on as justification for violent acts or to try to form a narrative that it is a provocative and violent book.
The recent sectarianism is really the most disappointing thing about the contemporary Ummah. Alot of people agree that Shi'ites are weird but they get the job done when it comes to defending from Das Juden
Yeah this is kind of confusing. Like you said, if you fixate on those elements, especially out of context, it can be used to justify just about anything.

Perhaps, one shouldn't need Religion to stop one from doing harm or being degenerate. But, you have to admit driving around, seeing all these churches and half of them are afraid to say "Stop the butt stuff, at least in the name of the Lord, for Gods sake" is annoying. Scared to stand on obvious grounds, what is the point of all the money and exemptions and large churches if they are just complicit too scared to preach what their book says? -

Hmm, I suppose I haven't posted in a while, and posted about drugs and I assume you guys die all the time so makes sense, perhaps I was presumed dead. RIP Bill Krozby RIP Fubi. I swear I think Covid took Fubi. It appears sobriety suppresses my posting ability. I remember planning to post an experiment where I consumed Ivermectin Horse Paste, because I thought Covid was fake, went out and immediately caught it, and I got sick as fuck and it inflamed my prostate so bad I was in severe pain and bed ridden for almost a year, when I did in fact eat the fucking horse paste (and not make a thread about it because at the time I wasn't sure if I was just going to be a dumbass and die) and amazingly inflammation went down over the course of the following weeks. (If you've looked into Ivermectin treatment of Covid, they refer to studies where you ingest as soon as you have the virus, and it prevents it from multiplying, but I found in my year of desperate research, there is an underlying filarial element in regard to the severity and possible "cytokine storm" severe inflammatory response) But if you remember a theme in my posts of constantly complaining about my prostate and balls, I can't believe it but its been in remission since I took that shit, so sobriety has been easier to maintain without constant discomfort.
I am rambling. I gained about 100lbs during this time, and spent the next year losing weight and recovering and I'm currently back to muscular strong self (In some ways, stronger and leaner than ever since I had to start blasting testosterone) I should make a thread on it.
I should really make a post on it somewhere, because I had some crazy Covid symptoms, including my fucking finger turned blue and I snapped a picture of it.
But yeah besides that you are right, gaming does suck all around but try Rust if you haven't its like, it has that old school freedom to do whatever sandbox feel that most games can't nab. No other developers would allow the in-game freedom Facepunch does, and I'm assuming its because of the severe learning curve and widespread toxicity and griefing that is looked down upon in current day gaming. Rust feels like what every game should be, they give you the tools to do and build what you want, you load in, no hand-holding, if you leave your door open and die without taking proper precautions you lose fucking everything and the hours or days of progress you've put into it. Thats the shit I want to play, where there is severe and fast consequence for incompetence. It would be nice to find some non-sociopathic people playing, but even when you find somebody to get along with, if you share a space its like they are waiting for some kind of disrespect or opportunity to shoot you in the head and change the locks lmao.
I should rly make a Rust dissertation thread. -
2023-09-26 at 3:55 PM UTC in Did you know the modern day n-word pass works like router wifi? You have to login with a nigga (The Adminanigga) in your local area. First you give the ocular hand signal (I use the international hand sign for peace, but that also may vary depending on district/city/block) Once you have tapped in and confirmed credentials, you can start nigga this nigga that'n, but think about yourself overhead view with a circle roughly 20 ft in circumference, and that is the area in which you may audibly broadcast your niggas comfortably. As long as you keep the adminanigga in range, it is like a mobile hotspot, and may travel wherever with nigga privileges.
Once in a new geographic area, you will need to login with a different adminanigga, as your past credentials ARE INVALID. I can't emphasize this enough.
Now you may transmit that nigga knowledge at, well, I myself can get up to 30 Npm (niggas per minute)π. You know how it go nigga once a nigga break the nigga dam the niggas start overflowin it just phonetically so gucci yurd me (nigga)
Now go. Go and converse as God made you. (Which is probably unfathomably melanated like me)
