Come on Hikki. What the fuck is wrong with you man ... Didn't you say you want a friend? I've been tryin' real hard to let you feel unjudged and accepted, but man, this shit needs some Friendship Is Magic level of "I'm gonna love and respect this shit out of you now" ... And even I am not that much of a faggot.

And come on man, you don't need the sauce ... You said you'll stop ... Don't your words mean anything? Don't be a fucking tosser man ...

Originally posted by 8stringflinG I'm glad I was able to make you consider Bernie a little more. I've done a lot of research into his policies but I don't have the energy or time to rifle through everything right now, but he doesn't have an open border policy. He does want to reinstate DACA and other things. I think you should look into DACA if you haven't. It's a very reasonable solution that does not grand citizenship or permanent residency but does allow some sanctuary for people who, through no fault of their own, were taken into America illegally as children.

And frankly, illegal immigration has been on a decline for the past decade or so. I don't think it's a major issue, personally. It's already illegal to immigrate illegally, and people have always gotten deported. If we really want people to immigrate legally we should make stricter requirements for green cards (so that you can't get them once you've come here illegally) and make the process of becoming a citizen easier. I mean I had an uncle (a doctor mind you) who waited 4 years to get residency. By that time he had two children and started a business and no longer wanted to emigrate to America. I really feel like the right is just totally on the wrong page. Some of their policies are based on racism rather than a logical approach. It was only a matter of time before that racism bubbled to the surface and we ended up with a racist pig like Trump.

Right wing terrorism is objectively more prevalent than left wing terrorism though, so I feel focusing on 'but what about antifa' like some people do is just fucking silly. They were deemed as a terrorist group but it isn't even an organization of any kind. I really don't think Bernie 'addressing' them would change anything. I do believe he's hesitant to talk about left wing terrorism because he's left wing, though I also haven't really seen the issue posed to him. I reaaaaaallly don't believe he's in favor of violence to achieve results though. Meanwhile we've got Trump who has actively endorsed violence, so I find it hard to take his supporters seriously when they bring up antifa. A lot of people resort to deflecting if not straight up denying when it comes to Trump. He's definitely got a sort of fascist figurehead thing going on, he wants to be a dictator and has blatantly said as much with wanting to extend his term and idolizing actual dictators.

Putin recently extended his term. Xi did the same thing and then he extended it indefinitely. Hitler did it. It's like 'how to become a dictator 101'. I would say he's a threat to democracy, but thankfully I don't think he'll actually get anywhere with it lol. Thank God we've got our system of checks and balances. It's a fragile one and definitely not perfect, but it's a lot better than some other countries where people like Trump can worm their way into absolute power by abusing the system.

I'm drinking here, since it's the weekend so I might need a break from our debate and will give you more sources and concrete statements at a later time. However there are still some things I'd like to point out. While right wing terrorism is also undeniably true and is also as despicable as antifa, the biggest problem with that is that the right tends to denounce their loonies. For example, Steve King got booted almost immediately after his racist bullshit. While the left doesn't denounce antifa.

Another problem with antifa is that if we compare extreme-left and extreme-right terrorist groups in term of effective combat capability ... The right wing ones tend to be much more dangerous and much better trained. Traditionally, right-wing positions are in favor of 2A rights and thus, have much more contact with weapons. The left doesn't have that. A lot of democrats don't understand how modern weapons work. And while I can't blame them for it, because it shouldn't be mandatory to know about killing tools, this does mean that the left is trying to establish policies which they have little understanding of.

(This next argument is a little bit silly, because it's been done to death, but for example "Assault Weapons". What the left defines as an assault weapon is an AR-15 with a tacticool configuration. What happens if you have a larger caliber (thus more powerful) semi-automatic weapon with a wooden stock? They'll consider it just fine. But again, this is a silly and overdone argument, so take it with a grain of salt.)

But the left has something that the right doesn't. Masses. The prime example is of course Andy Ngo, but there are many, many more reports of anti-fa aggression. The bike lock basher, for example. In what world do you justify beating down a senior citizen, even if she's wearing a MAGA hat? The right might be more letal than the left with their loonies. But the left loonies spread out their terror acts much more evenly, with larger numbers.

More importantly, I condemn both. Just because it takes 10 left wing terrorists to cause the same amount of damage as 1 right wing terrorist doesn't mean that the left wing terrorists are excused. Both are bad. Both should be prosecuted.

And finally ... As it stands, I think the left is just as fascist, if not more than the right at this point. Russian atrocities which eventually became the USSR also started with what was a "popular" movement. Very much akin antifa. Antifa right now is beginning to militarize. There are Antifa cells which are calling for weaponization. Familiarization with weaponry. What do you think will happen when these massess escalate from bike locks to AKMs and AR-15s? Fascism.

Right now, the left is fighting Trump, by any means necessary. And that is where I draw the line. If the left stoops down to fascism by fighting fascism, then that's too much. Both will end up fascist in the end, but one of them will claim false moral superiority while the other will pretty much be clear on their intentions from the start. I'd rather have Trump than to have the extreme left begin a civil war in the name of "by all means necessary". I'd rather people insult me, call me stupid, be racist towards me and belittle me than rush me with bike locks, spears, batons and rifles.

I am confident that the right will curb their loonies, as has been demonstrated with Steve King. But I'm not confident the left will curb theirs. As such, I'd rather lean right on this one.

P.S.: With this, I must bow out for now, as I am slowly getting drunker and drunker and feel like I'm losing coherence. I don't want the quality of this debate to be affected by my vices, so, if you're so inclined, we can get together to discuss this more at a later time.

As it stands now, a large part of both male and female population in the western world (can't be arsed to find actual percentages) are still virgin in their 30s. Do you think those kind of people would have the dedication to produce children under stress, if they can't do so in a relaxed environment?

People will die. A small percentage, sure, but even 5 percent would be enough to free up some jobs. Free up some benefits. And then there will be an exodus of those who don't want or can't stand and fight. Not all civvies dream about taking up weapons after all.

Take a look at how efficiently Venezuela and South Africa "manages" their population.

Originally posted by Technologist My point exactly. If there were explosions, the explosives could have been placed by anyone, including al-Qaeda.

Far as I am aware, the explosives had some sort of nuclear powered charges in them? Now I'm not saying that Al-Quaeda couldn't have procured some of those, but how do you expect them to get enough matter to make as many dirty bombs to ruin all of it? And with as much yield as there was, too?

More importantly, demolition is a very complicated thing. I won't claim I know the specifics for those towers, but you'd have to really turn the entire building inside out to place enough explosives to topple it. I'm not saying it would be completely impossible, but it would take entire work crews, cleared to work on the buildings.

Or it would take the explosives being placed there in the building from the start. Which again begs the question of how would Al-Quaeda bring in enough "employees" to cover the entirety of the construction project?

Just some speculation here. But methinks it had to be an inside job, simply due to the scale of the attack.
