A glock 19 is also generally more expensive, but I agree they are one of the best choices for a carry gun, just don't like striker fired.
So go for a glock if you can afford one, though with charges on your record I don't know where you can get one aside from bubba down the street.
You can get your right to carry back though but that'll cost an arm and a leg for lawyer fees. -
