Didn't mean to post twice. Slow ass computer. But yeah, I'm new to this whole computer science stuff. I know it's probably basic knowledge to some of you but I hope to continue to learn more so I am not such a noob.

    ...Mayberry?

If all of them fought eachother in a deathmatch, who would win?

    Sploo.

He would be so baked that he'd forget to show up on time while all the other guys killed each other.

I honestly don't know wtf you're posting the gigantic paragraph for. I'm not saying I am micromanaging my money and I take zero help from anyone. That's also retarded and I would be stupid to presume I could manage it all from the ground up if I dedicated 10 lifetimes to it, and I have zero desire to do it either since, as you said, it would take up all my time to just keep myself afloat. That defeats the purpose of being retired.

I am specifically talking about your reference to "paying others to manage their money". By this I can only assume you mean the hiring of individuals (such as yourself, as you have indicated) with titles like "money manager" and "investment manager", because those are the tyles you " pay to manage your money". This is and always has been retarded. The only people who would benefit from the services of such people are the utterly inept.
But I'm always looking for a good man for other reasons. PM me your resume. I'm not downloading anything so copypaste any text into the message and format it appropriately.

I wasn't talking about managing your money for you but I will send you a resume with all the PI taken out.

If your jimmies aren't rustled, why are you getting so mad and defensive?

The only mad or defensive post written are the long ones you wrote insulting everybody and claiming that you'd beat everybody in chess with your expert ELO rating.

I posted up a few articles that show chess helps people learn.

    Troll rating -1/10

Couldn't you at least have picked a hot Asian for this thread?

This is an MMQ appreciation thread.

A long long time ago, in a Zoklet far away, a new poster was born. With a healthy fixation on cats and an unhealthy fixation on writing gruesome, detailed descriptions of torturing people, Mmmmmmmquestions blessed our community with his eccentric sense of humor and beard.

Here here, a toast to MMQ.

90% of my persistence in my music is because from an outsider perspective, someone is thinking "Hey, this guys content doesn't have any content. He just makes all this "music" possibly as a p e r s o n a l p r o j e c t and only used to share his music when he was HIGH ON STIMS
    here we go

You sure post it a lot and get really butthurt over what other people think for a p e r s o n a l p r o j e c t. I guess you call it that because you take it personally when people don't praise it.

Again, you're not wrong on the fact that my music is bad.

Everybody already knew that. Also, you still haven't produced any "music" to speak of.

You are very wrong though at my motivation for making it.

    I'm not convinced.

I don't know where you get this "misunderstood genius" thing from.

From how you post and what you post on here, youtube, etc. You getting genuinely butthurt when you someone here said they don't consider you a polymath, followed by a detailed argument about why you were a special snowflake.

Hell, I put more effort into the album covers than the music itself.

    Not saying much.

Atleast my album covers are good.

No, that also looks like shit, but thanks for proving my original point that you create this stuff for praise, intend it to be good, and consider it good.

Now please, fuck off. Not everybody here wants to be audience for your anti-talent show.

Hey guy, Now you're starting to get it guy.

    Q: Is this not music?

    A: go on

God you really are a fucking idiot.

First of all, that Devo album was written before they signed to Warner Brothers. Secondly, not every track of the album (nor most of their work for that matter) just stupid fucking noises and poorly mixed garbage. As opposed to everything I've heard you record in your room, which is just stupid bullshit a child could do, Devo actually has other songs that demonstrate their ability to play instruments in harmony with each other.

Consider Pink Floyd. Their first CD in the UmmaGumma album is largely just noise (minus Grandchester Meadows and a few other tracks). But the whole other CD is solid music. So the ratio is like 2 noise per 5 music. Pink Floyd is also one of the most progressive popular bands in Western history who didn't make a habit of spending hours recording noises under the myopic delusion that they were "polymaths" and proudly parade it in public forum like a child who doesn't know his artwork is just scribbles.

Face it dude, you're going to have to take up the discipline of learning and instrument or learning how to make stuff that actually follows a basic rythmic pattern or you're going to have to stop getting butthurt that people don't like it. This isn't kindergarten. You don't get praise because you tried. Everything you've shared on this forum has demonstrated that you're a self-entitled fucking loser who is too narcissistic to see beyond your own neurotic needs for admiration. If you're that butthurt because you aren't getting the praise you so disparately desire, then put down the suboxone for a minute and make something worth praising.

Get over this "misunderstood genius" thing you're on because it's not fooling anybody.

I'm just trying to make music guy
Guy. you see, you don't need more than 3 count it

    3
braincells to comprehend that my only intent at making music is to attach myself to any earholes of any sentient/non-sentient lifeform/cacti that come into contact with it like a malevolent parasite.

Like I said, you can do whatever you want bro, but you're deluding yourself if you think the world at large is going to recognize bad drumming and poorly mixed noises as anything worth listening to.

Anyone who has any form of money or investment "manager" is a retard. Have fun funding his Bugatti with the fees they'll barrel up your ass. There is no difficulty in managing your own money with the proper tools, knowledge and by working with the appropriate organisations.
Additionally, I worked for every penny of this, and I have no interest in digging deep into it at the age of 29. I've basically taken a 2 year vacation so far to clear my head and the purpose was to put myself in an appropriate place and headspace to begin planning to start another business with this.

My ambitions aren't as shallow as "cash out and retire". I've simply built myself a safety net with which to go further.

If those are really your perspective and goals, then I fear you might be making a huge mistake.

There are people who spend lifetimes learning the intricacies of tax law alone, which still changes every year. It's one thing to be a vigilant steward of your resources, but it's a completely different story to be so delusional as to think you're going to optimize your investments by what you've read in your free time. Even if you studied this non-stop, the learning curve on understanding economy, finance, tax law, and which investments are the best would take you a lifetime.

Granted, I'm the one cleaning up other peoples' shit for a living, so I'm not going to talk down to the millionaire. What I will say is that I have worked with very wealthy people and watched a lot of them blow through their money because they were so distrustful of legitimate authorities in the field.

All that being said, if you want to hire a really competent academic who will do basically anything for the right price, just let me know. I don't know what business model you have in mind, but I can even send you a resume (I'm going to block out all PI on it though with the exception of a way to contact me).

Seriously, I'll relocate anywhere in the country and my entire skill set is at your disposal for the right price.

I studied the occult for years, not that I really believe in any of it anymore (I did when I was younger). I mostly learned about Western magic but I wound up looking into some things from René Guénon on the recommendation of a fellow Totsean. I was actually watching a webinar on A. E. Waite before I saw this thread.

No offense kek, but it's a big red flag anytime someone announces themselves as a self-proclaimed expert in anything - especially something a pseudo-sceincy as the occult. Chaos Magic is particularly dubious since it originated in like the 1970s, since showing up so late to the scene is also a big red flag. I mean, let's be honest, Wicca is newer than Chaos magic, and that religion has almost completely been made up on the internet in the last twenty years.

As far as the occult is concerned, there's a lot to learn from it. I'm just typically not impressed by many of this flashier, newer stuff as a lot of it is just people posturing as authorities while making unsubstantiated claims. Just look at r/occul or basically any Open Source Order of the Golden Dawn or whatever other Masonic fraternity archetype you pick. The reality is that there's nobody out there who can demonstrate that any of this shit works beyond a basic psychological level. Nobody can impose their will on the laws of physics without honoring them. You can embrace philosophies and hypnotize yourself all you want, but the only changes you'll be making are on your attitude and perspective. Even so, these changes are usually never stronger than the placebo effect. It's not to say that these aren't powerful tools to expand your mind, but there's tons of stuff out there that does this already which doesn't require a person to go down a rabbit hole of mental gymnastics and citation chasing.

Honestly, most of the shit I've read is just hyperbolic language that tries to trump up adjusting your attitude or changing your perspective. This can be done without all the auspices.
  19. EasyDoesIt Tuskegee Airman
Doesn't if you're an idiot and waste it. The key factor is education.

Sorry, but most of the richest people I know just pay others to manage their money for them while they live lavishly.

If you built something "from the ground up" and want to handle your assets alone that's totally fine, but managing 40 million USD in through securities by yourself is going to be a full time job in and of itself.

Also, if you had nearly the amount of money that you said you did, I would think that you'd know a trip around the world or traveling wouldn't even spent a fraction of your liquid assets.

I'm just surprised you're all getting your jimmies rustled

Again, you don't seem to understand forums.

You say something stupid. I corrected it. No rustling required.

That shit took less than ten seconds to find on Google.
