The cringe factor is your employment at the Christian camp right? I wish (I actually don't, at all) that I had footage of the 15 months that I was in the Teen Challenge program about 7 or 8 years ago. I try really hard not to think of the way I was during that time, because I was fucking brain-washed to the max. I was, voluntarily, the Christian choir director, among many other things, including having sung solos in different worship songs on any given Sunday in whatever church we happened to be at. I led hundreds of group prayers and would wake up early before church to go to one of the rooms and just listen to worship music and dance and get weird, praising God with all my might. I attempted to speak in tongues on at least a baker's dozen worth of occasions. I went to the youth correctional center nearby our facility to preach to the kids the 'good news of Jesus Christ,' fucking etc I'm starting to feel pukey and I'm done talking about this.

I guess everything about it is just cringey. My involvement, doughnut singing about his balls, pastor not knowing what to do about it, you preaching a gospel message.

Let's face it we're all loser faggots on this big gay site.

So one time I was working as an intern at a youth christian camp. I was talking to some ordained pastor about theology or something gay like that and the kids were playing freezetag or something like it. Anyway, there this little fat kid who always struck dominant body postures and tried to assert himself in dumb ways at the camp (I called him Dominant Doughnut). Anyway, Dominant Doughnut ran behind a tree and started dancing. I guess he thought we couldn't see him. He started shouting and singing,

"SUCK ON MAH CHOCK - LUT SALTY BAAAAA-AAAA-AAWWLLSS!"

So Pastor faggot and I ignored it for a while and just kept talking. I wasn't really sure what to make of it. Then Dominant Doughnut popped out from behind the tree, faced the other children playing the game, and started singing louder,

"SUCK ON MAH CHOCK - LUT SALTY BAAAAA-AAAA-AAWWLLSS!"

STIGIM IN YAH MOUTH AND SUCK'EM!!! DUN DUN DUNIN!!"

Finally pastor was like "Hey! No balls. Come on, guy."

Dominant Doughnut saw us and a look of sheer panic took over his face. He just took off running away.

Also, there was an Asian kid who was really popular with girls and was good at basketball. I used to call him KimJungSkill.

Moral of the story is that I used to work at a big faggot church camp.

Maybe after she reads your post and showers and puts her face on and takes 20 pictures and then picks out the best looking one to post on here.

    I can live with that.

I also added you on chess.com

Do a google image search for "crystal meth user"

I mean, I know people who did meth for a while and quit when they got older that look fine.

That's why I'm curious. Is she still on the before picture?

And of course that depends on how we define 'mind' but I think it's safe to assume that we would all include "thoughts" somewhere within that definition. I would like to point something out here. You have no more control over your next thought than you do over my next sentence. If you pay close attention to your thoughts you should realize that they seem to come from nowhere. You aren't authoring your own thoughts; that would require you to think about what you're going to think about before you think it. Now, some people can "stop thinking" through forms of meditation. They learn to "silence the mind" which I think is a beneficial activity but also reveals something about the nature of our thoughts; they are not an essential component of what we identify with.

That's actually not entirely true. It's true of a lot of people who don't have disciplined mind, but a major component of meditation is learning to train the "Monkey Mind." Basically, people's thoughts swing from one thing to the next throughout the day like a monkey swinging from vine to vine. When one begins a serious journey to take command of their mind, they begin by taming the "Monkey Mind." Granted, there's a stream of consciousness, but it is harnessed and controlled through discipline. Meditation is a key factor.

Eventually, you have control over your thoughts, can analyze them, direct them, and let them flow freely.

naw that's just a myth. Even if they are bad, they sure are fun

Do you look all fucked up?
  9. EasyDoesIt Tuskegee Airman
unhealthy, yes, fun, even bigger yes. Meth fucks up the body so much though, I'm glad I don't really do it anymore. I still crave it but I have alcohol and gabbapentin.

    Drugs are bad for you.

I used to do a lot of crystal meth. Not so much anymore. I was sober for a long time then relapsed but just went on small binge. I haven't done crystal in about 2 months. I still think it's a good drug though. I just can't do it too much cuz i get out of control with it. I drink more than anything.

    That sounds really unhealthy.

I remember starting a thread like this on RDFRN. But anywho, What_a_Kreep is a playoff of Kreepykay which is a reference to ketamine. Ketamine is a lot harder to get now.

I didn't know that Kreepykay was a reference to ketamine.

Do you still get high? Last I heard you did meth.

Basically Lanny opened this site for us and doesn't put a ton of effort into it. The really small user base doesn't seem to really justify doing a whole lot with it.

    Good post though.

Lock your Sawyer Hatch Sploo. Literally all you've done since 2000 is inhale oxygen and consume resourcres, your brain and body are tethered to this earth. drinking cough syrup, smoking syncans, and doing drugs that most people grow out of around 17 years old just shows that you are born to be a drug chemist. It would be one thing if you were a functioning alcoholic or an honor student that does coke on the weekends, but you're not. Youre better than all those people combined and you do it with style and grace. You're busy eating tons of nutmeg and drowning your brain in cough syrup while simultaneously posting love letters and hotdog stories and teen titans, Bravo sploo , bravo to you Sir. Im pretty sure the cartels are looking to hire a few wise young white chaps like us to show them hwhats hwhat and replace brick weed with syncans. You're not even in your mid-twenties yet and you're already a well respected TOTSEAN and the perfect person to work near the tip top of a drug conspiracy. If It wasn't for you I wouldnt know about "your generation" and these TOTSE legal highs.. Syncans, nutmeg, bundy, fish oil. Of course I KNOW about these but your unique form of research has given me a new perspective on everything. You would be a valuable asset in the space station LSD labs, original research is daily life for you and that makes you priceless. You're probably the smartest person on this website besides myself and Bill Krozby. I see you in 10 years leading the charge for the new global RC market. Jah bless you sploo for you are truly doing Gods work son.

You have the e-admiration of a homeless methhead. Congratulations.

Descartes' meditations on first philosophy. I'm into the part where he's trying to prove god. Pretty short book actually, although it gets a bit dense at points.

I thought you didn't like Descartes?

Also, you guys should check out The Wasp Factory.

I entirely agree with you that there is no real separation between body, mind, feelings and thoughts, rather they are just conceptual aspects of the same thing, a persons existence. But are you the type of person that really identifies with your body, mind, feelings and thoughts? Are do you feel like you are something else that is just observing all these things, this life?

This is a question very close to my heart. I'm kind of an oddball here because I'm a really large proponent of Descartes' Cogito as a starting point and became a huge fan of Kant as I got a little older. I know it's disputed in Philosophy and a lot of people have "moved on" from the "Rationalist" and Empiricist" diatribe but I probably ask myself this question at least once a day. As a matter of fact, I own hard copies of everything Descartes wrote and periodically read it.

Reading Sartre's Nausea cleared up my thinking on this a lot.

If you ask me, I most undoubtedly exist as a mind. Almost everything else is a statement of faith. Granted, these are statements of faith built upon several tools which validate their "correctness," but they're still ultimately axioms. It basically comes down to what your standard of evidence is.
