First I thought this was by Brotha Lynch Hung but it's actually a poem by Armsmerchant. Interesting.
It's pretty stupid to be honest.
There's actually no real evidence that The Zodiac wrote that poem. It was just found in a library at a college that Arthur Lee Allen went to, so everyone assumes he wrote it (they also assume he's the zodiac).
Which goes to show how poor policing was in the area at the time and why this fucking dude got away with all this shit.
This is now a Zodiac Thread. -

So wait… zodiac was oplus? Or is oplus zodiac's kid? OP, are you greyfox's kid?
I like Greyfox and don't mean this offensively, but a dude who believes in magic rocks is not intelligent enough to get away with high profile crimes like that.
Also my dad is cooler than Greyfox.

vBul is nice, make sure you patch if you get vBul 5 it has an SQLi and XSS vulnerability out of the box if i recall. Also, MyBB is bretty good except from an anonimity standpoint, because it keeps logs of everything including PMs, which can be accessed by admins with two clicks of a button. Phpbb sucks and uhm, idk.
That's kinda not cool.
I really would rather not be able to see everyone's PMs to be honest because it creates a degree of liability. If one of you fuckheads does something illegal that you planned through PM, it would be a whole lot cooler if "there's no way I could have known that.' -

Arnox, I need you. Where are you?
On a forum he invited us all to but closed registration for all while bemoaning that people don't appreciate him as a sysop. -

If you'd used the feminine pronoun this could have been the greatest compliment I've ever received. Actually… it still is. ♥
It's not a compliment. I don't say things I don't mean.
That would be the point of the forum. If we could unite otherwise isolated, thoughtful people we could have a cool community.

This seems like a good idea, however, getting a userbase of knowledgable members would be problematic i'd reckon.
I think this would actually be the easiest part because there are so many of us niggas going to school in the USA for things we're genuinely interested in but there's no outlet for it in the real world.
I mean Phoenix could probably hold his own to most people with a philosophy degree and he's basically a sharpie plugging autodidact.
I think the hard thing would be advertising it, but it would probably find it's own within a year or so because it's pretty niche imo. -
2016-01-24 at 4:58 PM UTC in TCPDUMPSo I'm not sure that I'm understanding your question clearly, but figured I'd give it a whirl and drop off the little knowledge I have on this.
192.168.33.103.47915 > 224.0.0.251.5353: [udp sum ok] 49 [2au] PTR (QU)? _alljoyn._tcp.local. ar: search.c155cba214b389d11489f34ccc12d0c2.local. TXT "txtvers=0" "i_1=net.allplay.MediaPlayer", sender-info.c155cba214b389d11489f34ccc12d0c2.local. TXT "txtvers=0" "ajpv=12" "ipv4=192.168.33.103" "pv=2" "sid=57" "upcv4=47915" (213) 02:19:38.696652 IP (tos 0x0, ttl 1, id 0, offset 0, flags [DF], proto UDP (17), length 240)
What's it mean?
192.168.33.103
This is the source IP. I'm not sure how much you know about TCP/IP (obviously enough to be running TCPdump / wireshark) but, each packet has a source IP address, a source port, a destination IP address, and a destination port. The data is sent to the right service by the port number.
47915
This is that source port.
>
"...The datagrams are being sent to.."
224.0.0.251
This is the destination IP.
5353
This is the destination port.
[udp sum ok]
This is the User Datagram Protocool (UDP) of the internet protocool suite (the distant cousin of TCP/IP). Basically UDP provides checkums for data integrity, meaning it calculates the sum of the correct digits in a piece of transmitted data and "checks the sum" against the final delivery to see if you lost any. In this case, the sum was the same.
49 [2au]
This is where I start kind of getting confused because this is normally where your flags would go (I think). I'm not sure what this noise is.
PTR
This is your pointer request. Basically this tells the computer that you want the ip address translated into a name.
alljoyn._tcp.local. ar: search.c155cba214b389d11489f34ccc12d0c2.local. TXT "txtvers=0" "i_1=net.allplay.MediaPlayer", sender-info.c155cba214b389d11489f34ccc12d0c2.local. TXT "txtvers=0" "ajpv=12"
This is the name, which you said you found...Edit: I can see that "org.alljoyn.sl" is https://allseenalliance.org, so it must be someone connected to the router via their phone…
I'm not sure if any of this is actually helpful because I'm not sure how advanced you are or if that helped clear anything up. The only other consolation I could offer is the basic troubleshooting of using -XX or -A flags to make it more legible.

Sounds like totse.
How much does it cost? Do I just buy a copy of Vbulletin and run it out of my house (I have a server)? Can I buy server space somewhere else? Vbulletin has a price page. There are free, pretty good alternatives. Hosting could run you from 2-10$ a month, a domain is about 12$/year.
How much technical knowledge do I need? Very little. It's pretty much point and click. Even easier if you get a paid product - you also get support that way. The more you know though, the better you can make it (faster, safer, etc).
What's the legal liability? Dunno, I'd be interested in hearing about this as well. I would assume any content you host will be susceptible to DMCA requests. You can have a clause stating the all posts belong to their owners, which I think remove some responsibility off your shoulders, but only to some extent (ie. if members post about crimes, maybe you can be charged as an accomplice if you know about this but dont report it). Anyone here got more info on this?
Thanks for this.
It's not like &totse so much in that &T's point was freedom and it honestly wasn't very well vetted circa 2005.
The goal of this forum wouldn't be freedom, it would just be a place for academics to hang out and discuss things that interest them. It would basically attempt to be like an online discussion forum that's required for school, except you're basically anonymous, you can have sexy bitches as your avatar, you can swear, and the only people that are there are those who are interested in the forum.
I was also thinking about setting up some war games on it. I mean, we could technically do the war games here, too. We could also have reading groups.
I wouldn't want it affiliated with totse though. Some of you guys could come over, but honestly most of hte people affiliated with Totse still talking about it aren't who you want on a forum. -
2016-01-24 at 3:45 PM UTC in TCPDUMPI'm going to get back to you on this. I saw this right before I had to leave for work or I would have responded sooner.

What kind of forum?
It wouldn't be totse or pretend to be.
Basically it would be academics to discuss shit. I'm considering needing a .edu email to register or something (exceptions will be made).
So a lot of the topics will be highly technical academic stuff but the rest of it will be niggas talkin' shit.
Also there will be a library. -
2016-01-24 at 3:28 PM UTC in Starting a new forums (lanny et al)So I've been piecing together making a new forum.
Here are my questions:
How much does it cost? Do I just buy a copy of Vbulletin and run it out of my house (I have a server)? Can I buy server space somewhere else?
How much technical knowledge do I need?
Does anyone want to help me with gay porn and stuff?
What's the legal liability?
Lanny,
How long did it take you to set up NiggasinSpace? -

I also pretty much exclusively bang old ladies though so there's that. -
2016-01-24 at 2:59 AM UTC in How would you fare in a survival scenario?
this is pathetic. humanity's ancestors thrived in ice-ace conditions and when a little flurry twinkles out of the sky everyone goes all armageddon. let's do something more fun…and realistic: societal collapse with balkanized ethnic warfare; as per yugoslavia circa the early/mid 90s
I don't know if I'd call everybody eating their children's brains, having sex with animals, and dying of tooth decay our 20s is "thriving" but I guess you live your life how you want fam. -
