$1500 - car
$70 - tags and registration
$160 - insurance
$60 - mechanic (who didn't fix it)
$1790 total. I doubt I can get that back as it sits now but insurance isn't due again for another month and $80 bet I can get it running better in that time frame is a bet I'm willing to take.
I'll throw a couple hundred bucks at it if I have to or if someone tells me the catalytic is in fact the problem and gives me a decent price I might fix it.
But in the meantime if someone came along and offered me what I paid for the car I would sell it just to get rid of it.
Going to wait until a nicer day to wash it up and take some pictures to post it for sale and whichever way this goes I'll be happy so long as I recoup most of what I have in it.
At the end of the day if I didn't buy the Lancer I would have probably spent $1500 on fucking carpet tiles or some stupid shit like that and had I invested it in the stock market I'd be out way more than just a couple hundred bucks anyways. -

Damn water keeps coming up and my apartment is prone to flooding. Not my specific apartment but the complex itself.
There is very little drainage in the parking lot and if water starts pouring into it the whole fucking lot turns into a big massive puddle. It is suppose to rain all day but I hope to leave for work before I have to go swimming to get out to my car.
I'm hungry as fuck right now and haven't ate today. My nerves got shot from driving that friggin Lancer in the rain and I'm just chilling out, drinking coffee and making things worse.
Right now I'd consider today a massive success solely because I got my car back and can work on it myself now.
Got some laundry going at the moment and getting ready to fix myself something to eat and get ready for work today.
I hope to make some more posts tomorrow when it is not raining although it will be cold again but I'll just have to deal with it. -

I can probably fix the bumper better than zip ties and slap some used tires on it for fairly cheap.
A can of throttle booty cleaner isn't very much and not trying to fix it and just assuming it's fucked is dumb.
What is your opinion and what would you do? -

It's still broke and shit but whatever.
The guy said he is having trouble getting parts and has no helpers right now and that everything is taking forever.
I told him I understand and just don't really care all that much about the catalytic and just want to get rid of the car at this point unless he comes up with a quote on actually fixing it.
So I'm going to make a call and arrange a ride to go get it.
He only is charging me $60 for leaving it parked there for an entire month. -

I have little idea what I am doing today.
Just woke up and am drinking my coffee.
Want to go get the Lancer. I'm trying to figure out what to even do with it today if I do get it.
It's suppose to rain non-stop so I'm probably not going to go on the jog I was planning...
Might go to the liquidation outlet if I do go and get it. See if I don't happen across any treasures.
I had it in my head I was going to get up and go to my girlfriend's house and scrape paint but I don't have loads of time to spend today and probably would get there, take 1 look at it and leave.
2 loads of laundry to do on this Twosday.
Everything is pretty much whatever today and nothing is "gotta get done" serious.
Well I guess I'll call the mechanic and see about getting my car back this morning fixed or not.
I went there on Saturday and there was snow on the windshield wipers and it hadn't snowed since the Sunday before which tells me it hadn't been in his shop all week.
I just want the hunk of junk back. I don't know what I can do with it the way it is but I'd rather at least have it than not have it. -
2022-02-21 at 7:13 PM UTC in Fona 2-21-2022I just checked the forecast for tomorrow and realized that although the temperature is suppose to be nice, it is also suppose to be raining all day. Outside time or not I'd still like to step up and prove myself as responsible enough to allow my girlfriend some peace of mind.
I'd prefer to have more set up for the task but it doesn't matter because even if I had a hired staff and an expert on hand I'd still probably second guess something.
The plan is a go.
Anyways, I have to head to work in a few minutes so I'm finishing up a couple things at my apartment and going to head out the door.

Grabbing something to eat on the way home.
Going to my girlfriend's house tonight and going straight to bed.
Tomorrow I'd like for her to be able to sleep in and go to work while leaving me to get up and take care of the kid so the kid doesn't have to go to the babysitter's house.
The only nice day this week besides today is going to be tomorrow and it would be kind of cool if I was able to get her kid some outside time and go ahead and get the whole being responsible for a little human thing done and over with so that I know I'm capable of doing this.
The kid's dad is not helping out this week and it is what it is. I'm not going to start talking shit about him. -

Went to another car wash. Got quarters. Their vacuum didn't suck which sucked and I threw it on the ground and left.

There are only 2 outlets in the basement and I hooked a space heater up to one of them and blew the breaker which also happened to be connected to everything in the upstairs living room, a couple outlets in the kitchen and probably other shit too.
All I wanted was a new circuit with 3 outlets spread either along the walls or ceiling spaced maybe 10 feet apart.
Just enough to hook up my computers, a tv and a space heater.
I got my first quote at $280 for a new circuit, and $180 per outlet.
The next quote was for between $1000 and $1500.
Really don't think it's even worth the first quote as everything is exposed and the breaker box is already in the basement. -

Honestly wasn't trying too hard either and after checking amazon's prices I found it would probably be cheapest to buy online and get whatever I get versus wasting gas every weekend looking for clearance rugs.
Honestly I need an electrician first anyways. -

Watched the 1st half of Zombieland 2 last night then fell asleep.
Slept really good.
Woke up and started some laundry, did some dishes and went home.
Gas was $3.37 on the side of town I woke up on and I got it for $3.04 on the side of town I live on.
Now I'm drinking coffee and wishing I had stopped for breakfast.
Going to call the mechanic and see wtf is going on with the Lancer and if I'm able to just come get it.
Might go open a new bank account. Both banks I use now absolutely suck ass and are harder and harder to deal with.
Also need to get to the auto parts store and pick up some coolant before the rest of mine leaks out.
It is suppose to be 63 degrees outside today and I'm looking forward to having my windows open for a bit and airing out my apartment.
Anyways, Im going to call the mechanic now and see what he says today. -
