Also sent over supporting documents in hopes of opening a new bank account this week and closing the accounts I already have.
Basically just trying to consolidate all my accounts to one bank because doing electronic transfers between 2 banks seems to always take 5 days and 1 of my banks doesn't have any branch locations near where I live. -

Woke up late in the morning and hurried to get home.
I've got 2 hours and change before I leave for work.
My list of shit to do this week isn't very long and mostly consists of paying my rent and figuring out whether or not to keep the Lancer.
I know damn well I'm not going to get $3k for that car but I might still break even. If I keep it I need to go ahead and spend some more money on it to get it running right.
This week at work there is a new guy suppose to be starting today so I'll have to be extra vigilant not to accidently wreck into him.
I have 1 goal for this month.

I am needlessly losing money keeping a 2 bedroom apartment while I'm half the time living with my girlfriend on the other side of town.
There will never be a time when I can say I'm prepared enough that I know everything will work out exactly as I hope it to but given the fact it is working out as well as it is I need to pull the trigger and get out of my lease.
I'll never have the time to fix anything I want to fix at her house either so long as I'm commuting back and forth across town everyday.
We talked about it some this weekend and both agreed we don't need each other financially at all which is probably the best thing I could imagine in a relationship. Putting out heads together will save us both a lot of money and open doors for new adventures.
I'd break my lease today if I had the extra cash to do it.
Anyways, I am going to finish my coffee and jump in the shower. I want to get the day killed off and back home tonight.
Also, Worms Reloaded is a fucking awesome game. -
2022-02-27 at 8:20 PM UTC in Fona's Fucking Lancer Part IISo it is the mass airflow sensor. Cleaning it helped a lot but it still runs like shit and did die when I shifted it into reverse to park it but at least I don't have to drive with 2 feet anymore.
I priced them out to go ahead and replace it but at $100 and unsure if that is even the only issue with the car I really don't care anymore.
As it sits, someone can come test drive it and it won't repeatedly stall out at stops signs.
I'm going to go ahead and post it for sale and see if I can't make a few dollars on it.
Might replace the MAF sensor another day as I am out of money with rent due tomorrow and having not saved up for it last month I just can't be spending my last dimes. -

I am getting a late start today.
Last night went well and I stayed up extra late talking with my friend.
Now with this morning already half way over I'm going to have to pull something out of my ass if I am going to get anything at all done.
Until I finish this coffee I have in front of me I won't be doing much.
Hopefully I can hurry up and get everything at home done fairly quickly and still get back to the Lancer today to at least get the wheels swapped on it.

Basically if I can drive it 25k miles it will pay for itself not including the cost of insurance for it. -

I've been looking on marketplace and I doubt Ill ever get close to $3900 for it.
Also to consider it in fair condition I have to get the idle problem fixed.
If it is the catalytic converter that will cost me $350.
By then all this headache wont even be worth more than a couple hundred in profit on a good day.
FFS I should have bought a Toyota. -

Today is looking like it's going to be cold and cloudy.
I'd hoped we were past this shit but being mid February I suppose that was wishful thinking.
Not sure what I'm doing yet today.
Part of me wants to work on the Lancer at my girlfriend's house but the drive there and back kills so much time I won't get anything done probably.
Considered buying 2 tires for it except I guess I should fix the rest of the car first.
The reason I wanted to go to her house today was to get my other car because it is suppose to be snowy tomorrow and I really don't want to end up in a ditch driving the hood rat Lancer.
The weather forecast pretty much decided for me that I will in fact be driving back out there to get my other car today.
And since I have the other wheels with me right now I guess stopping to see if I can find a couple used tires isn't the dumbest thing I could do.
Yup, that's my plan now.
I'm going to get dressed and go do that. -

2022-02-23 at 5:34 AM UTC in Fona's Dinner 2-22-2022Got home hungry and went to cook my pork chops but my frying pan is dirty and I don't feel like washing it.
Thinking fast I noticed I had an oven and began to wonder if I could bake them in it.
After a quick google search I decided to smear a shit load of butter on each pork chop and then spread a shit load of mayonnaise on top of that.
A little salt.
A little pepper.
Some shredded mexican cheese and 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
I hope anyways cuz I'm very hungry.
Side note: I tore them out of the packaging frozen today and let them thaw out but while smearing butter all over them I noticed black fibers all over the place so my pork chops are going to have some packaging left on them but I'm sure my stomach can handle that.
And while I was doing all of that I also got a dozen eggs out to hard boil in my Dash Egg Cooker but I accidently broke one and dropped it back in the egg carton so now I got to find something to put my remaining 11 eggs in once they are done.
The eggs are for tomorrow...
I'll probably just microwave some Bob Evan's Loaded Mashed Potatoes for a side dish tonight. -

2022-02-22 at 7:21 PM UTC in Fona's Fucking Lancer Part III tried making ONE video of it dying and it wasn't dying very well.
Anyways, here are 3 videos mostly of me bitching but I'll include a couple timestamps.
Video 1: I assumed it would just hurry up and die but it wasn't cooperating.
At the 45 second mark I find a doughnut.
Video 2: Annoyed it won't die I drive it around my parking lot and it does cut out at the 59 second mark.
Video 3: I pop the hood and hope it dies so you can watch the engine struggle but it just keeps running like a bitch.
Im calling the muffler guy back and scheduling that back pressure test tomorrow to see if that results in any findings.
Update: in the time it has taken to upload the videos I called the muffler shop and they said they are closed tomorrow but to come in on Thursday. I'll have to check my bank account and see if I can afford to have a new cat put on Thursday or if I will have to wait until next week but either way I'm still going to go in for the free back pressure test.
