The problem here iz that risir was (is) going thru some pretty heavy mental health stuff, living at his mom's, not working despite being a physically healthy 29ish yr old, having some mental breakdowns and almost checked himself into a psych ward recently.
Given all that, I really don't think he's mentally prepared to 1. Move to a new country 2. Be in a serious relationship 3. Have the realistically strong possibility of being rejected and having to fly back home or somehow kick it in the states. I think there's way too much change going on way too quickly for him. Not saying it can't work out, but on pen and paper I feel like it's not a great idea.
So nothing to lose by trying then... -
