That's why mercenaries are even a thing - mercenaries are associated with military technology and tactics, like pole-axes or gladius warfare or whatever. It's pretty cool - I mean why not be a mercenary if you have better weapons, armor and training than your opponents?
You don't really find mercenaries fighting in dumbass meat-grinder wars. For that you need the modern nation state, with their ability to round up, equip and lead to the slaughter millions of men. -

I assume that in Africa building a house is something that takes an entire generation or more. There is nothing really wrong with the houses there, but they get built so slowly you just have to wonder. I remember seeing a crew working on one - and yes it was hot, but not massively so - I heard hammering, and it was the slowest hammering I have ever heard in my life. Like hammering in slow motion. Like 8 seconds between a blow or something like that.
And people just sitting around. Africa is insane like that. In some ways it's healthy though. I never felt anxiety once the entire time I was there. Being around blacks is like being on valium. Back in the day retards like that would get good jobs in industry and be able to buy a house and car. Being a cashier was regarded as a skilled job since tills were so hard to operate and required manual keying in of prices. Women could choose to stay at home, and it was socially acceptable.
