I have been a hikikomori since I was 11 or 12 and spent every waking moment of my life on the web with the exception of 2006 because I was living at my grandparents and they didn't have the internet.
Sad to see how boring and sterile the web has become.
I miss the days of going to bemansityle to download simfiles, or playing flash games on newgrounds at the library, or going to 4chan when it was actually 4chan.

One thing I will always like about you is the penchant for nostalgia.
You might be a tad off the wall extreme about some things, but you do keep it real and appreciate the past.

I don't exactly dislike the people here for the most part.
For me, it's kinda just about socializing with other human beings in general that kinda puts me off for some reason.
And about the Totse thing... I definitely miss Totse (I was literally raised by Totse - probably moreso than by my IRL parents).
But, while the Totse connection is what brought me to NiS in the first place. I've come to appreciate this site as its own distinct thing. -

But a lot of my user and dealer friends these days tell me it's the cat's pajamas.
When it's mixed with regular heroin to make a quick buck, tho, it's pretty fucking dangerous.
One time, I had to do CPR on a chick on my living room floor while on speaker phone with 911, waiting for paramedics to narcan her. That shit was kinda traumatizing, tbh ngl. -

I drank some of it with them once.

This was all pre-chip days... Cards were just plastic with a magnetic strip, so you could actually recreate a full card with an magnetic writer (as log as you got a direct copy from someone skimming with a magnetic reader somewhere in the world).
But most of it was about using the 16 digit card number, first and last name, and address, to purchase things online and have them shipped to an address where you can safely retrieve said items, and then ultimately fence them on the black market.
This credit card information was typically obtained via phishing (emails linking to pages that look just like big companies' login pages, convincing them to enter their personal info, ultimately sending it to a database somewhere), or obtained via skimming (for direct card replication, something kinda different).
Nowadays, I'm not too sure how it works, but with the chip and all, I imagine that skimming is dead. Phishing and other social engineering methods are probably all that's left. -
