   I'm in kind of a similar situation...
   
   I don't smoke cigarettes or anything, but the other day, I decided to buy a vape, because:
   1. I'm just curious to try it.
   2. I read somewhere that nicotine is actually a very effective nootropic (no idea if that's true or not, but again, in the spirit of experimentation).
   
   But I'm worried I might develop a nicotine addiction.
   
   Which would just be so ironic, since I've made it to 34 years of age, tried every drug, even been addicted to a few, but cigarettes just never took.

   I'm not that good at interviews, I mainly get jobs through connections.
   
   So, lesson of the day: NETWORK.
   
   As cliché as it sounds, it's not what you know, it's who you know.
   
   Actually, in my case, it's both. I may lack people skills when I'm sober, but I know how to do what I do really, really well; and I network like crazy when I'm drunk.
   
   Moral of story:
   1. Become really good at whatever it is that you do.
   2. Network like crazy.
   2b. If you're socially inept when sober, then drink a lot, and then network a lot.
   
   Job interviews become much less important when you satisfy the above criteria. At that point, interviews are usually simply a formality.

    The whole fentanyl thing is what makes it a crisis.
    
    I'll be the first person in a room to start arguing for how harmless heroin is (NOT ACCOUNTING FOR ADDICTION AND A VARIETY OF OTHER PROBLEMS).
    
    But the introduction of fentanyl into heroin, and even other drugs in some locations, has resulted in a serious crisis.
    
    I'd call it a "fentanyl crisis" though, or an "impurities in drugs on the black market crisis".
    
    It's time they legalize them all, and create a set of quality standards like the FDA.
    
    Then, the so-called 'opiate crisis' will be over.
    
    Or, at least, no worse than the 'meth crisis' or 'cocaine crisis', etc.
