   So as it turns out, insurance actually is covering the floor replacement.
   
   My personal belongings aren't covered, but, luckily, nothing of particular significance was damaged.
   
   But holy fuck is it ever gonna be a hassle to relocate all my apartments contents.
   
   I have over 1000 books, and, trust me when I say, moving books, especially this many, is incredibly unpleasant.

    I'm surprised if took this long for someone to ask this question.
    
    There were two things going on...
    
    One: The rubber flange or whatever it's called inside the tank was broken, and so the toilet wouldn't flush on its own. I was forced to keep the lid of the tank off at all times so I could reach in and remove the flange manually everytime I had to flush.
    
    Two: The toiled flooded because... I guess I took a big shit? Or I used too much toilet paper? Dunno for sure
    
    But yeah, it was a result of two unlikely scenarios converging.
