Even though I had a background in software engineering, I hired contractors to build my app. I ended up wasting 6 months in developing the MVP. I learned my lessons, fired all the contractors and developed the app in 1 month.

they made LETHAL COMPANY look like shit on purpose. its a whole mood. PS do u remember any good flash games? I got a flash game deal called Flashpoint it's like a flash player and archive source for old flash games. all i played on there so far is Javanoid ( lol it wasnt even a flash game but it does browser-java games too i guess ). I used to go to coffeebreakarcade and sites like that but now i cant even remember any of the games i played. there was some pretty fukn sick car driving game im trying to find ujeard

I once walked into the break room at work and found a colleague standing in front of the microwave with his lunch in his hands.
What’s so unusual about that?
The microwave was running.
It was empty.
“Err, Huxaley… What are you doing?” I asked.
“I’m warming it up before I put my lunch in.” was Huxaleys reply.
Now, with a regular oven, you do need to preheat it to ensure it’s up to the required temperature before putting your food in. This is not how microwave ovens work.
I turned the microwave off and gently explained the principle of microwave cooking to him.
Huxaley was a man in his early twenties who lived at home with his mum who did everything for him. Bless him.
Thankfully he had only been in the break room a few minutes when I walked in and stopped him. The microwave was still working properly afterwards, so he hadn’t damaged it.

Back about 1998 or 1999, Kansas City rolled out DSL service. I lived downtown just about half a mile from the main office. As soon as I heard it was an option, I called and booked an install and managed to get a morning slot on the first day of availability. Fortunately, I may have been the very first customer in the city to get the service as it is very unlikely they would have driven past any other customers when they left the shop first thing. Unfortunately, I may have been the very first customer in the city to get the service because after 8 hours or so, it still wasn't working and my room was a mess with cables and equipment.
As the tech was working diligently, I picked up some of his paperwork. Paperwork with instructions. As he was finishing for the day with a promise to be back tomorrow to continue the install, I asked him if he had done Step 'X'. He said "no, they told us not to do that in training". So after he left, I did as his printed instruction sheet directed, and magically, it worked. He seemed irritated when he showed up the next day and told him I fixed it after he left.
