Anyway I don't know what definition of 'exist' you're using.
The conditions which cause a rainbow objectively exist. They can be measured, tested, etc. But the rainbow itself is entirely subjective. Just like the way a noise sounds to you might sound differently to me. If nobody were there to hear it, the noise wouldn't sound like anything. A rainbow is an apparition. It is an optical illusion, caused by conditions that objectively exist, that appears subjectively to everyone who experiences it.
If there were no subject viewing the rainbow, it wouldn't exist. The conditions that cause it to appear would still exist. The world would still be here. But the appearance of a rainbow is dependent on a subject to perceive it. -

That's like saying there is an infinite quantity of rainbows that exist all around us all the time, but you can only see them when the conditions are just right. -

If what I am saying is obviously bullshit, than why would it frustrate anyone? -

Think of your reflection in the mirror. Does your reflection EXIST? Sure does. Can you touch it, move it, smell it? No. Just like a rainbow. A non physical thing that still objectively exists otherwise we wouldn't have a name for it. Our reflections aren't real people and rainbows aren't real objects but they are both things that can be seen given the correct circumstances you will see them every single time. Objectively. :)
Colour isn't objective. A rainbow is a colourful arch that appears in the sky. If you and your girlfriend looked at a rainbow together from point A, it would appear to be different to each of you. Subjectively different. If you called your friend who lives at point B and asked him to describe the rainbow, it wouldn't even appear to be in the same location. What's objective about that? -

2017-03-28 at 7:26 PM UTC in Do rainbows exist objectively?I think I agree with you that from an objective view, everything is meaningless. But we don't really live in that world, we live in a subjective human world dealing with human problems and assigning human values and meaning to the world. Things like life, death, work, taxes, love, pain... are not meaningless to us, these things have real, objective consequences. And IME recognizing the interconnectedness of everything has real, objective benefits to human life.

Originally posted by NARCassist very disappointed with the faggy answers so far. come on nis, you can do way better than this.
Well it's kind of a stupid question. I mean, why does this person care if people on NIS think being gay is ok? Does our opinion affect his life at all?
The important question is whether or not he is ok with it. If he is ok with it, and if the people who actually affect his life are ok with it, like his friends and family and even the laws of the land he lives on. If his mom and dad aren't ok with it, is he ok with that? If it's illegal to be gay where he lives, is he ok with that? -

Originally posted by Bill Krozby My neighbors are lesbos, they are just a couple of young goober girls and they really don't do much except hang out with themselves so I guess its good for them personally. I also have these 2 neighbors that are old hippies and I get the vibe they are swappers. what ive noticed about both these couples is they are very introverted almost like they feel people are going to judge them but I don't judge people based upon things like that..
I think you just like to believe you're less judgmental than you really are. -

2017-03-27 at 9:02 PM UTC in Is it K to be gay?No, and I don't think happiness comes from being gay or straight.

2017-03-27 at 8:51 PM UTC in Is it K to be gay?I know a guy who was going to marry a girl before he ever had sex, she cheated before the wedding cause she wanted some dick, after they broke up he came out of the closet. Now years later his boyfriend has cheated on him literally dozens of times and he is the most depressed person I know. I don't know if he is actually gay or not. I don't think he even really knows. He doesn’t seem very happy though.

2017-03-27 at 6:05 PM UTC in AI communicating with humans
Originally posted by Totse 2001 google is apart of a "Siren Server" which is collecting through same algorithms to use those searches in advancing AI replacements for humans because our bodies begin to die the moment we are born. it's about uploading our minds to this new digital organism which in it's earlys stage (of now) is called the Cloud.
We're creating AI which soon will take over and won't need humans anymore. it will view humans by status classes and decide who to eliminate first. slowly it may be paused when the population is less than 500,000,000 people. about 1/14th the population of earth is right now.
Non of you will be apart of the selected.
Ignorant people laugh at it now, will become frighten and try and stop it tomorrow but will fail and tomorrow's tomorrow (not literal measure) is the end of men.
Yeah, probably something like that.
