Do rainbows exist objectively?

I remember this thread, and I remember it being frustrating to participate in. I think since first enjoying the particular bouquet of this thread I've come to appreciate why any discussion into the relationship between qualia and language will so quickly and reliably devolve into the shitshow here showcased.
Instead of going on about why descriptions of qualia and their relations is difficult I'm just going to point out that you're a fucking retard if you don't think rainbows have an objective existence.
I enjoyed every post in this thread. When I decided to make the thread I thought the topic was somewhat analogous to conversations about God and other words that can have multiple definitions or interpretations, like colours do, which sometimes lead to hilarious conversations as seen in this thread and drive people to make ridiculous statements like "you're retarded if you don't think God has an objective existence". There are people out there who seriously contend that colours are a subjective psychological phenomenon caused by objectively verifiable specific wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum rather than objective characteristics of the light itself. Considering that different people and animals experience colour differently even when viewing the same objects, that appears to be a sound position to hold. -

Most of us consider that to be a purely subjective psychological phenomenon, or a sort of hallucination. But someone could take your argument and say, "I define God/spirituality as everything that objectively exists which cause me to experience God/spirituality, therefore God/spirituality is objective."

Maybe the qualia of "colour" in this rainbow does not exist, but the physical phenomenon that stimulates that qualia certainly does.
