Normally I would say that since he probably has a pretty decent "intelligence" level (like whatever that abstract idea of processing power or mental capacity is) he isn't beyond saving but at the age of 30, his thought processes are just so irretrievably corrupted and garbage, I don't think he can be saved.
He's literally considered himself to be some kind of superintellect for years. I don't think there's a good way to reel him back to the land of the non-retarded.
