I did the same thing when I was younger and managed to get up to 300mg

Everybody in my house was always fucking loud as shit all night so i couldn't sleep and I had to be at work at 7am

Then one day I took mxe really late and needed to sleep so I took 50mg and got full blown fucking delirium

Ever since then if I take any more than 50mg, the crystal spiders come after me and I plug my phone in to go to sleep 500 times and still wake up to a dead battery

For like the last 2 years now. I take like 75mg and then another pill/pill & a half like 2 - 3 hours later. How do I get off it now without it being hard to sleep? Get up earlier than 4pm?

It started with experimentation with marijuana.

Some background: my quality of life has been significantly impacted by a chronic pain that developed as the result of a lifetime of neglecting to take proper care of my bodily safety. The only options available to me were to keep roughing it with no assistance, or a prescription for opiates (I think I was given the option to take Percocet). As you are aware, opiates are highly addictive. I have seen many good men fall victims to drug abuse, and the worst cases were with opiates, mostly heroin but also with such prescription pills. I'm also aware of my personal character flaws, one of which is an addictive personality. For a large part I have made that work for me by channeling it towards productive pursuits, but trying painkillers was too much of a risk.

Instead, I did lots of other stuff; pain management techniques, meditation. None of it worked. I tried topical over the counter remedies and they were ineffective. I even ended up taking weird cocktails of non-addictive drugs. The closest I got to an effective solution like this was 200mg of acetaminophen + 400mg of ibuprofen. Even this only slightly dulled the pain, and wreaked havoc on my kidneys.

So desperate for a solution, I opted for marijuana edibles (smoking in general is bad for your heakth) instead on the recommendation of a friend.

This was life changing. I no longer sit in fear of being thrown into writhing agony and staying up until 8 AM, pacing in pain until I finally can fall asleep from sheer exhaustion. I can simply eat one fraction of a gummy when I feel the pain beginning to build up. And about an hour from ingestion, I will be alright. Not slightly better but perfectly fine.

It is also extremely enjoyable and pathed me towards the use of LSD (along with some readings of Terrence McKenna's work). The second edible I ate (half a cookie, 100mg THC oil) had a hallucinogenic effect on me and made me see lights and feel sensations I had never felt before. It was a bit unnerving, but fantastic. So I went to try LSD. I have only had one experience but it was incredible. I played The Beach Boys all night and sat up looking at the stars, which were few but bright and beautiful, and the cold air tingled my skin wonderfully. I got sick the following day but it was worth it.

Where I currently stand is; recreational use of drugs can be fantastic. But I still find a problem with the way some people use them to replace their lives. It's a bit cliche but there's a South Park but that perfectly sums it up, but for more drugs than marijuana:
