The only reason this is so widely spread is because its usually so mild. You can have the virus and not even have any symptoms. People think they're fine and that it isn't serious, spread it, and then your grandma dies, or your brother, or your mom. Making it less deadly than most recent pandemics, but with a much larger death toll.
Anybody who played Plague inc should know this lol.
Yeah I didnt say i hoped it killed a bunch of people right away. Just that it wouldve been so widespread and debilitating all at once that people couldnt mental-gymnastics their way out of it.
Yeah in Plague Inc i made the mistake of upgrading cough and diarrhea at the same time. lol. WHO was on my ass real quick. Lesson learned. -

Originally posted by Cathay Coof That's interesting. Have you noticed any improvements in lung function when not wearing the mask?
I ask because wearing masks while exercising was becoming a thing as it was claimed that restricting airflow could improve your lung conditioning.
Yeah i feel a lot better when im not wearing it. I almost certainly have COPD though. -
2020-05-03 at 8:45 AM UTC in Yes psychos, all the ¡Science! shows masks do help stop virusesExcept that from what ive read in most cases its not properly aerosolized. So a mask keeps a good deal of fluid from becoming airborne in the first place. I mean you could probably tape a paper bagover your face and accomplish a similar thing, but its still a good idea. Masks also keep larger droplets from infecting surfaces.
In any case, ive been having to wear an N95 respirator for 6 hours a day since late january, and i kinda dont give a fuck anymore. After a full day of that breathing through a straw,my chest feels like i have the virus anyway.
