That story reminds me of some shit back in the day I haven't thought about in a long time when I was about 10. I met this guy in a chatroom. We began talking regularly and he had just turned 18. This was when my depression began to manifest to degrees I was conciously aware of and beginning to grasp what depression and suicidal ideation was… I guess we met because I was subconsciously seeking help and this guy was genuinely trying to be helpful though he was suffering from his own chronic depression. Im sure most people off the bat assume this was some pervert but he never in the 4 years we communicated ever asked, insinuated anything sexual, or asked me for for dirty pictures or anything- we just talked about our lives, and different interests, and he always seemed to be extremely positive inspite of the shit he was dealing with to me and sorta tried to be mentor figure to me, I suppose, now I look back on it. He would send me birthday cards and post cards when he went on vacation with his family and I would sneak around and we would talk on the phone now and again. I came to understand this guy was chronicly depressed and even found out, when he would drop off the radar for months at a time, that he over the course of our friendship, had attempted suicide 3-4 times and was in the nutward from time to time. One day, it had been a very long time since hearing from him, I get a message from an email I didn't recognize and its him. He said shit had gone very bad and he had been keeping some things from me for a while, in sort of a way to 'protect' me. Well, we arrange and he calls me. For the last year and a half he had been living with his boyfriend (I didn't know he was bisexual, but he had talked about an ex girlfriend before he was all torn up over losing) who was dealing cocaine and was very abusive. He said that he got the shit beat out of him and ended up in the hospital for a week and then after being released he had attempted suicide again and came close to succeedingband was admitted for 2 more weeks and I then in the lunnybin for a couple months (he verified this shit for me). Anyway, we began to talk again andbhe was living in some halfway house sorta shit and one night we talked again he was extremely depressed and I know he was contemplating suicide again. I tried to tell him to keep his head up an shit would be better… Well, he just dropped off the face of the earth and I never heard from him again. I always wondered what happened to him. Hopefully he just dropped everything and rebuilt his life and moved on. Maybe he was a very elaborate troll (I doubt it because I did get in touch with relatives of his whom he was estranged from but acknowledged him, that they knew him, but refused to speak about him at all). Never found an obituary either so… I also talked with this much older guy like until I was 17- his username he went under was Baron the Curse back in the day. He was a very mentoring figure as well to me and wasn't weird nor creepy at all. We just bullshitted a lot and he gave me advice for dealing with my teenage drama and angst. We just kinda drifted apart and had got a really good job so I didn't hear from him much after that but fuck man… We just talked for 7-8 years. That post made me all nostalgic from back in the day of all the people I talked to online for so fucking long.

That's not even scratching the surface of twisted shit I've done. My bad karma has definitely caught up with me, I've lost thousands of dollars, possessions and drugs over the years to no fault of my own, just bad luck, wrong place/wrong time.
I even lost a good paying job because some evil demonic forces plagued my mind and I was depressed and suicidal making 25k/yr, cutting myself and getting 27 stitches while on the clock at work.
I used to be anti drug and then one day I went hard and I've never stopped since. I probably deserve all the fucked up stuff that happens to me.
I try to be a good person nowadays. "If you do dirt, you get dirty"

I've done it. I used to play this game called "Uplink" that had a big forum community and I always pretended to be a haxxor. I started doing it when I was 8 years old and got bored when I was about 16. I pretended to be this 1337 blackhat NSA haxxor that created the ILOVEYOU virus, and then one day I vanished, never signed into my hackaday account again. I heard the hacking community was suicidal after that.

If the government would stay out of it i'm sure these stores would be like 7-11 and never close, bring in millions of dollars in taxes which can be used for public health.
All in the name of "public health". What's worse?, someone abusing heroin legally or the hundreds of people that get ripped off or fucked over participating in an unregulated market?, injecting shoe polish seems retarded but in this society its perfectly acceptable because the government is retarded.
The point is, the drug trade isn't an unregulated market. That would actually be beneficial, people seem to have this idea that everything that operates outside of the law is in some sort of unregulated market, supply and demand still play a critical role in any sort of lawful or unlawful trading. Furthermore laws can still influence a market if and dare i say especially if they prohibit the goods that are being traded in. To Keynesian economic theorists the drug trade could be called a badly regulated market Austrians might go as far as saying it is an overly-regulated market instead. A notion i subscribe to, because there's about nothing more drastic you can do to a product's price than outright banning it. -

I don't like people, I like corporations and their loyal employees.
I just want to buy some motherfucking cannabis and or methamphetamines but people that sell drugs are all faggots. There's a weed dealer two houses down from me and a meth dealer an hour away but its like pulling teeth trying to give these people my money. I got my welfare and I CANT SPEND IT unless I go to a store.
Why the fuck are drug dealers so gay?. Why does the government actively try to stop me from spending money on things I want?.

Imagine if I said "I just want a beer but I have to wait until the store opens at 4pm" THAT STORE WOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS!!.
I just want all drugs to be legal and a store with everything in one place, cannabis, alcohol, coffee, coca leaf, tea, tobacco, pills and the "behind the counter" stuff would be heroin, meth and pharmaceuticals. You could go In there with a doctors note saying to get Diazapam but you wouldn't need a script to buy it, and there would be a big ass catalog at the front with all drugs and prices so you could buy heroin from a licensed pharmacist, and clean rigs.
But no, I gotta get coffee at Walmart, smokes at 7-11, booze from some paki, weed from some burnout and buy bitcoins and wait a week for meth from the internet, WHAT THE FUCK?!. I was born in the wrong era, I wish it was 100 years later.
I just want to get high, I guess I'll drink this coffee and eat seroquel and bundy hurp de jeeeeeEEErrrrttt!!!!

This is a consequence of a government program.
Look, if you're going to reduce supply artificially by targeting drug producers and runners and what have you you're going to artificially increase it's price. As opposed to more traditional goods the demand of drugs is not really influenced by it's price. So at the end of the day you're making life easier for drug dealers and everyone involved in the drug trade. The only people that lose out are the consumer and arguably society and the government. If i have 1k in costs per month in example, under normal circumstances(without government interference) i'd break even if i sold you 25g's of meth a month(just some numbers to make a point) now beause the government has artificially increased the prices to break even i now only have to sell 15g's a month in example. Which allows me to roll up at 5pm throw a couple points at you and go back to bed. Should i so desire.
If the gubmint has to be involved i'd argue for a strategy of harm reduction. -

I didn't know about ArchAssault until now that looks cool, although I don't think it should be or is a big deal to install a program. It's easier to install just what you need than to have a huge distro. If it deals with the complexity of installing that's a plus.
I mean they do things differently and it goes both ways. I'd rather have newer software with new bug fixes and risk potential new bugs. The only downside is occasional package manager issues and the forum people are dicks if you don't know/care about the intricacies of how that works. You do definitely start to appreciate the more up to date software when you go to install something on a different distro and find it's not supported yet, even ones like cenots or ubuntu which stay fairly up to date.
You're a Linux hipster, i like it. But yeah, ArchAssault is pretty cool, sadly it suffers from the same problem as Kali insofar as it comes with a shitload of tools, while BackBox is built to maximize efficiency and minimize redundancy which is one of the reasons i like it so much. -
