I’m not going to lie, I don’t cry a lot, but I cried both times. We did some stuff at home to say goodbye like give them all the good treats with peanut butter. If you have kids, it helps them say goodbye to draw goodbye cards to take with the dogs. I took the dogs to the vet by myself. It was a peaceful process and the vet and tech were very helpful.
Some vets vary in their process with the number of injections and what it does. For mine, it was one injection. With the first dog, they started an IV in the back and then came out and did the injection with me. Second dog, they did an injection without an IV. The dogs were chill and didn’t act like they were in pain from it. I was petting them and talking to them and kind of holding their head. Their breathing became slightly more rapid and then they laid their head on my hands like they suddenly went to sleep. I laid their head down and waited a few seconds. Then the vet checked for a heartbeat and informed me that they no longer have a heartbeat. I elected to have them handle the cremation and the remains, so I said goodbye and left with a leash and a collar. -

This is horrible advice. Banks are for holding your money, facilitating transactions, and lending money. Not for investing. Go with a good brokerage firm like vanguard or fidelity.
Managed accounts are also a bad idea. You will be paying excess fees for a service that statistically is outperformed by passive investments (see above). If you must have some kind of “help,” go with a robo-advisor or just put it in a target date retirement fund. Do your own research and choose a good asset allocation and that’s the main decision you need to make. Asset location is also important, but not as important as asset allocation.
