At least " WHO? " is shorter than when people post "didn't read" Both are pointless. But, if you're gonna nag me for using a 3 letter word twice as "worthless text" that can just be omitted, then please, apply this logic fairly throughout all of your replies & think for a moment before pushing that submit button. Realize that if you respond with something like "Didn't read" you are being hypocritical. You have the cojones to tell me what I should have omitted in a post and what qualifies as "worthless text" but then you go and post the one thing that adds nothing at all to the substance of a thread. "Didn't Read" we

You just want to share with everyone that you didn't read someone's post. I totally get that. I just wanted to share that I had no idea who those jabronies were that you mentioned with such admiration.

I didn't feel the need to because from the context of your post I correctly presumed that the Connor guy was an athlete and the 2 others were some dorks that are really good at video games. I don't need to know specifics because your main idea was easily comprehended.

Obviously I could have googled them & found out all about their lives and what they've accomplished. But, the fact that I had never heard of them before this thread is the reason why I felt saying " Who?" was appropriate. Sure, I can google something real quick & come back in a few seconds with a post reply that it is full of stuff " I swear I knew before." I thought it was more appropriate for me to relay to you that these people, who you seem to see as having such great abilities & admirable qualities, I had never heard of before.

    WHO?

That's because Conor has a basic competitive will and understanding that you don't have, even if you could, you don't. And IdrA and f0rest have hand-eye coordination that you never could. Such is the case for basically every activity; attributes determine your proficiency at them.

A touché, that was good. I don't know who the heck those people are that you mentioned but I get the gist from context that Conor is some type of professional athlete?

And in most activities I would agree, you are right., I didn't think about this before but your argument totally makes sense. However, I noticed the examples you had are two very common "human measured activities" regarding skill. Athletics and video games. . But there are things that someone can be good at that's not so easily measured.

For example: Sometimes someone has a knack of cheering people up. Lots of people tend to feel awkward or uncomfortable around someone crying, but then there's that guy, the slow and uncoordinated one, the guy that's a total klutz. He'll know what to do, he reads people so well and has a skill in always saying the right thing. He is a people person, socially advanced, but he has butter fingers and can't do much more than repeatedly walk into walls & shoot his own teammate when attempting to play Hallo.

This guy could apply his skills in socialization to become a salesman or guidance counselor. I'm sure there are other examples of skills one can have that are more based on intuition and empathy rather than hand eye coordination, and practice..

I went to gay bar once. I didn't realize it was a gay bar though till the next day when my friend told me. TBH I don't remember much, it was New Years Eve, & I had started drinking way too early for any hope to stay up till midnight.

One of the girls I was with that night, I ended up learning that she liked going to gay bars because she felt that the guys were " less aggressive " . I find it hard to believe that even drunk guys get that aggressive with her seeing as she looks like a PE Teacher that watches the kids exercise while eating her lunch and plays Softball on the weekends with her other "Gal Pals". But hey, whoo knows? She might be telling the truth. Although she does seem like the type to think of the slightest sign of interest as "aggressive " .

We had a rough start in the beginning of the night before we left for the Bar for Gays. I was drinking, no surprise there, & was telling a story that got me all excited. Not in a sexual way but kind of in an upset small sized rage sort of like " Can you believe this fucking guy?" Type of story. Well, my bad, I guess I'm so used to drinking in TC and alone that I totally said the word Nigger. Everybody stopped what they were doing and looked at me like " not cool dude " And then of course the 2 white gils there had to say something like " My best friend is black" or " My husband is black"

Super awkward. But, as far a the Gay Bar goes, 2 thumbsup. It was clean, not crowded, good music, and I would totally go back again.

Well, although I see the point you were trying to make, I would have gone with a different analogy to make the point.

This one doesn't work for the point you're trying to make because photos of earth from outer space exsist and there are no turtles present, Thus debunking the idea that we can't disprove the idea that turtles hold up the earth. These photos taken in space prove that turtles are not holding up earth. unless NASA photo cropped them out. ......or if we've never actually been to space & all said photos are faked.

A simple addition of the word "invisible" would make this much more applicable. "......the world isn't held up by a bunch of invisible turtles "

Or something along the lines of "You can't disprove that shadow people plot various schemes in the corner of my living room, and are pinching my sack."

I liked and agreed with argument that you were making but something tells me Specrtral is right. I mean, there are sooo many random activities in existence, one would think that the odds are pretty high for someone to be good at one of them, at least one thing. This thing doesn't have to be huge money maker or even have to be what people normally think of when they think of being "skilled". A ratio of one human to the trillions of verbs possible to participate in, the odds are, there's at least one out there that a person is goood at. It could be yo yo ing, (Yoyos and yoyo tricks were real popular when I was a kid, I think they're due for a comeback). Or, that one thing that a person is good at could be providing emotional support to loved ones. This can be hard, I know that sometimes if someone is upset and crying, I just feel awkward and doubt I'm very comforting.

Tldr: you can most likely safely assume that the earth is not held by turtles but disproving the idea that everyone born is skilled with at least one thing is trickier due to the ratio of a single human to all possible activities in existence

Thanks for the tip! Sometimes after crystal binges my arms look pretty bad because crystal makes my veins practically disappear. This makes it much harder shoot and usually is more likely to leave a mark rather than if I had been able to hit first try. I wish there was safer and better places to shoot than the arms. When I was hooked on H, I moved from my seemingly veinless arms to my plentiful vein-filled legs. This, was a mistake.

Now, I just stick to the arms and if I can't hit I just take a break and drink some water, come back to it after a bit. Sometimes that's a hard thing to do when tweaking but I've trained myself to show some control & set it down, drink some water, do some pushups, then try again with fresh gear.

Well, actually, I would say I got MYSELF addicted. He wasn't holding a gun to my head or anything, I make my own choices. He was however, the first person to ever shoot me up. Before that I had never shot anything. I'd mainly smoked/snorted crystal and tried smoking H a few times. The times I had tried smoking H were pretty random, I never had bought it but I'd be with someone who was smoking it and they'd offer me a hit. I wasn't too impressed but it helped mellow out my crystal. Needless to say, when I tried H the way you're supposed to do it, it was much better than I had experienced before. I remember it took me a while to get hooked though. I was used to uppers so the first few times shooting H, I thought it was too much and just fell asleep a lot of times. After building a slight tolerance was when I grew to love it. It replaced all other substances and became #1.

You could perceive it that way, sure. But I am not going to put the blame on another person for something I chose to do & continued to choose to do.

He also was the one that was there for me when we decided to quit. He was able to score the suboxone, I was able to get the gabapentin. It helps having someone there for you when you're going through something as rough as quitting heroin. It wasn't easy, it took a lot out of me, but eventually, I was able to quit shooting H. And, I hope that I never go back. Like the popular saying goes, "I know I have another relapse in me, but I don't know if I have another recovery left in me."

Damn it's hot af in my city today. I feel my skin burning as soon as I step out the front door. It's even hotter when you're forced to wear long sleeves to cover up those fun but probably not so smart life decisions that happened over the weekend. At least it's only for a few days and not the entire summer like when I used to do H. I'm so glad I'm not a daily H shooter anymore. Looking back I don't even know why I kept up with it, I only felt satisfaction for a fraction amount of the time, besides those short lasted moments, life was pretty sucky. Not being able to find a vein, dealing with sketchy middlemen, trying to go to class & work while being sick. Thank god for suboxone, gabapentin, and Crouton. (wish i could stills core gabapentin).

A little bit of clear here and there isn't as damning as some might think. Wish I could go back to smoking it but that's not gonna happen. Why waste time in the clouds, when you could get straight to the point?

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Life isn't so bad, I think I'm pretty happy. (Let's hope I feel the same when my sack is empty & I'm feeling crappy).

I know this might be an unpopular opinion but I couldn't stand that one super hero movie with Ryan Gosling, Deadpool. I didn't even finish it before turning it off in disappointment.

What was most upsetting was that it was the very rare, if not only occasion in years where I actually had paid to see a movie.

I don't usually pay for movies like some kind of chump ass sucka but I had received a $10 iTunes card as a gift & could not for the life of me think of anything to use it for so for something like 2 bucks I rented Deadpool.

Before I signed up for Zoklet around 2013/2014ish I used to lurk a lot (probably sometime around 2012ish. There is only one that sticks out to me. It was a poster named STD & I always thought he wrote interesting and enjoyable to read posts. I never interacted with him but as far as as poster who no longer post that I wish would come back. He's the dude.

Malice, so regarding what you mentioned a few pages back to me about the animosity of female bosses to their female employees. I have noticed this type of relationship with other female co-workers in the past but for the most part I've gotten along with female bosses. (with the exception of 2, who were evil). It's so odd how common this competitive behavior among females is. Male bosses that I've had are usually morons. Idiots who somehow had managed to climb their way up the corporate ladder. I swear, it's almost as if being lazy, self-unaware, and just plain dumb are requirements of people in upper management.

I start my new/second job on Monday. I've never had 2 jobs at once before (unless you count when I worked while going to school). I decided to keep the job I have now as part time and put the majority of my time in this new one that I start Monday. I wish I could just full on quit my old job but I think it's a smart idea to keep it around at least part time if only just for a while.

I hate the boss that I have now, total toolbag that acts like he's your buddy but is actually a total jerk. He's constantly frustrated because he can't multi-task never takes responsibility for his own constant mistakes.

My new boss is a woman, not sure if that will make things easier/harder for me.
