Idk why they bothered adapting it in that case. I think that book is dangerous, it was saying self-destruction was the only freedom or something and my ex took it to heart, wanted to hit rock bottom. It was because the men were deserting so the woman fought instead but it didn’t encourage men to go back to fight, they just thought there was no hope if it had come to women fighting. -
