2022-09-11 at 5:51 PM UTC in 9/11 celebration threadwhen i was a kid, i remember imagining what it would be like to watch a 747 crash. i thought it would be spectacular but unlikely it would ever be caught on camera. turns out it is quite spectacular, because a cargo plane crashed soon after take-off near Baghdad and it was all caught on camera.
this was a direct result of 9/11, since the threat of attack meant a steep ascent on take-off which led to cargo shifting and throwing the aircraft off balance. i mean, i wouldn't choose for it to happen, but since it did i'm glad to have been able to see it. 9/11 made one of my childhood dreams come true. -

The weird wording makes me think they're weaseling, but might just be down to translation.
