I have never once had a post office or a shipping store/drop off point open my package and check it. That is an insane violation of privacy. I feel like that wouldn’t be done unless you have a track record with postal/package service abuse, which even then, they don’t check ID when dropping off packages so you’d have to be recognized by sight. Where in the hell do they open packages prior to shipping when a person drops off a package?????

You put the dry ice in a box, seal it, put the label on the top. Flip the box over, cut into the tape on the bottom and rip some of it off a little bit, make it look like it was opened. Take new tape and tape over the original tape so the package looks compromised. Amazon receives an empty package because the dry ice is gone but come to the conclusion because the item was weighed similarly to the item being returned that someone opened the package in transit and stole said-item. -
