Also IDK, it was kind of a gateway album for a lot of people. The noisy clipped guitar and accordion drones kinda anticipated a popularization of noise and drone elements being used in more conventional genres. While it's a pretty /mu/-centric view I've seen the argument that ITAOTS was a roundabout influence on Death Grips' early to mid 2010s output. Like it seems kinda ridiculous idea and maybe suggesting a causative link isn't justified it does seem like there's a significant shared listenership there and on a production level there are some interesting similarities there.

In fact Neoconservatism can be understood as a form of Communism.

Marx's critique is Hegelianism, except inverted - he bragged about it himself. Hegel was an idealist, Marx came along and inverted the whole idea of a historical dialectic to place matter ahead of concept - dialectical materialism.

Yes, dialectical materialism is usually described as inverted Hegelianism. Of the ideas that Marx inherited/adapted from Hegel the idea that there's some kind of natural progression from capitalist to socialist to communist modes of production and that this is an inevitable historical dialectic is one of the worst in my opinion. And this is a staple of Marx's thought, I don't deny it. In fleshing out his position Marx spends a lot of time in analysis of what constitutes the capitalist mode of production, what a meaningful taxonomy of class is, what class interests are. That's the part of Marx I think is insightful.

Also you're still trying to change the subject from how retarded your call out over my comment about the daily mail is lol.

Why are you monitoring us like criminals?

IP addresses are not categorically personal information as I don't have the necessary information to resolve them. See this decision:

    https://www.alstonprivacy.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/ECJ_Breyer_Judgment.pdf

    and shorter summary:

    https://www.alstonprivacy.com/ecj-declares-ip-addresses-personal-data/

Basically since I'm neither an ISP nor an authority that can request data from ISPs, my holding of IP addresses does not qualify as personal information.

This doesn't really matter though since we're not talking about the GDPR, the GDPR does not prohibit the collection of personal information, the EU does not have jurisdiction over me, and the GDPR is a piece of legislation that I think does something good but is far from the definitive authority on human rights to privacy.

It also doesn't matter because wether or not this site is GDPR compliant, or even if I respect user privacy or not, it doesn't change the fact of the matter as to wether we have a right to privacy or not.

I think that it is possible to monitor everyone in a manner that doesn't compromise day to day activities, and only look up information on where people were and where they are when a crime happens. All such activity should be made public. I think this sort of openness would make everyone better off, safer, richer, and happier.

How do you both make information public and only allow it to be looked up when a crime happens? If you only disclose information after a crime happens, then the vast majority of surveillance information will never be disclosed which is the opposite of "public".

But perhaps most importantly, the empirical evidence for this (constant surveillance, review/disclosure only in the case reasonable need for it) being possible is next to zero, at least in the US, since we have overwhelming evidence of American intelligence agencies breaking our own laws to conduct surveillance without a warrant, without probable cause, and which led to the acquisition of no pertinent info. One of the more popular uses of the surveillance infrastructure in this country is the well documented sabotage of political opposition.

You haven't produced an argument why that shouldn't be done, apart from "muh privacy".

I just gave you a good one: our country a nice history of abusing surveillance powers and exactly zero reason to expect that's going to change. I gave you another more ideological reason earlier: surveillance inherently discourages and punishes deviance, it is a mechanism of socialization. Just as some socialization is justified, I've argued so is some surveillance, but either in excess is psychologically damaging to human beings and insults our dignity as people. Some amount of human freedom is justifiable despite it's potential for abuse, both for human wellbeing and for social wellbeing as societies do require some degree of social deviance to ward off cultural stagnation.

But why do people feel the need to be more attractive in the first place? Someone will of course say there's an evolutionary motive to propagate one's genes and we'll delve into a discussion of how our conception of beauty is a proxy for reproductive suitability but when we start talking about "fake tits, fake lips, fake ass, fake hair etc", our drive to "counterfeit" reproductive suitability stops making sense given how widespread it is: if most members of a population can fake a signal of suitability the signal itself loses its value as it no longer signals anything. Then notice the things you listed are all commercial products chiefly aimed at women.

I say to you this: the reason women feel the need to make themselves seem more attractive (while "male grooming" is an industry, beauty is undeniably a overwhelmingly feminine-centric market) is because of the patriarchal power structure at work in our society that conflates a woman's worth as a person with her sex appeal. Marketing of beauty products is predatory and relies on women internalizing this "beauty as worth" story early. I say we shouldn't play down the stereotype because it highlights a true double standard in our society.

Also domestic abuse is a real and pervasive problem Mexican communities, the fact that exceptions exist doesn't mean we should turn a blind eye to the problems of a culture that generates domestic abusers with a much higher frequency.

Of course women of all races wear hair extensions, but my experience seems to be it's a lot more common with black women. IDK, it's not like there's any problem with hair extensions lol. Like white women are into those olive green jackets and black women seem to like hair extensions. Everyone's got there thing but it ain't no thang ya know?

Generally speaking you don't have to have any particular OS with the exception being that you need OSX for iphone development and windows for windows-specific stuff. Platform dependent stuff like that. Being comfortable in a linux environment is pretty common and some jobs will list it as a requirement but it's usually a pretty soft one. And the development experience on linux is generally a bit more pleasant IMO. But again, it usually doesn't matter, what you don't want to do is spend a week installing and tweaking a linux install just so and do zero programming.
