What do you know, it is borked. I pushed a fix that should fix it, let me know if it's still an issue after a cache clear. Thanks for letting me know.

If I ever have a kid the lesson I want to teach them is that the "work hard to get ahead" meme is a scam foisted upon americans to extract labor from them. My kid would be the beneficiary of the last remnant of the upwardly mobile middle class in the US and needs to be taught that they never need to work because they won some bizarre lottery, to neither regret their good fortune nor grown vain under its shadow. To appreciate the absurdity of their existence but not to squander it in toil by confusing work for moral fiber.
Basically I want my child to be a trustfund kid who makes shitty plays no one likes but they find deeply meaningful.

You actually don't worry about it hon. We'll go kid shopping on Sunday and discuss it then. When you see some of the kids I have lined up, you're going to fall in love, I just know it.

Are spiders good or evil?
Depends if you're talking about the ones in spider heaven or spider hell.

I'm glad your date went well Enter.
It's going to be a lot funnier when you manage to fuck it up horribly after getting attached than if she was just a no show on the first date.
Always remember: the longer it takes for it to crash and burn, the more it's going to hurt when it inevitably does.

The word "Hack"
I don't know, but "hack" as a way to describe a person negatively is underutilized. We should be saying that more.

The word hack.
I wasn't trying to belittle you, I honestly have no idea what this thread is supposed to be about. The term "hack" has a lot of different usages. For example, it can mean a person without talent. I don't think people are using this word more now than before (in fact its usage in this sense seems to be declining). But then I don't think any particular usage of the term is ascendant at the moment. I also don't know who or what you're referring to as "normals".
I do feel a little bad for posting off topic in your thread, which is why I'm asking you what this thread is supposed to be about, because it's not very clear.

I have mixed feelings about this kind of thing. I feel obligated to support technical decentralization efforts in the facebook era, but on the other hand I can't help but notice that distributed filesystems have been a research topic for at least 30 years that I know of and they still suck dick. Every time I see a
fancy over designed website trying pitch the next reinvention of something that really isn't new at all I can't help but feel like we're wasting our time. Fully distributed systems fundamentally don't support moderation controls, which is are a feature we aren't (at least currently) ready to do away with socially, legally, or technically. I think (de/re)syncable syndication/federation is a much more promising direction to go in in the near future (as in like the next 10 years)

ok, well spectral (a well known bullshitter) said so so clearly it must be true. Those darn leftist judges who are unnamed and who we are totally unable to verify even exist much less confirm their history of rulings. I hate those jerks.

Sorry, I don't consider lying to be "contributing honest discussion" so as far as I'm concerned you contribute nothing. There's nothing wrong with being a worthless shitposter, we accept all kinds here, I just wanted to make sure you understand what you are.

Yeah, GTA3 was a decent game for the time but it was immediately obsolesced by Vice City which was better in every dimension. By contrast, both VC and SA have something to set them apart from their sequels.
Controversial opinion time: 5 was better than SA. I loved SA and I spent so many hours on the turf war segment and had a blast. The map was huge, vehicle selection was dank, it was one of the best games of it's era. It was probably even more fun to play than 5. But 5 actually managed to elbow its way into being a game I would call art in a way SA didn't. The graphics and city design and general atmosphere of 5 was incredibly well crafted. It wan't just fun zany shit packed together because that's what's fun, there was a coherent overarching vision that went into the game, exploration of (some) character motives, and enough tech polish for 3 separate EA games.

So I've been thinking about a couple of site features that I don't really think live in the core forum code, don't apply to forums in general (like polls for example) but which might be nice to have. So I tried slapping together an extension system and I thought a forum game would be a good exercise. So the game is called Taboo, we ran a similar game back on zoklet briefly, basically you're trying to get someone else to say some word (they don't know which word) and if you do it they get banned for a day. Other people are trying to do the same to you. It's opt-in so if you think this sounds stupid just don't sign up. It's also highly experimental, so beware bugs and if things fuck up let me know.
So anyway, if you want to play you can sign up here:

Uhh, ok, I can ban your account if you're serious, although it feels like this thread is more about you complaining about some date hoteliers than actually wanting to be banned (protip: you can always not sign in).
How long do you want the ban to last?

Over 2,300 Nanas were separated from their Popos at the U.S.-Mexico border between May 5 and June 9 under the Fox McCloud's administration’s “zero tolerance” policy, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said on Tuesday, and immigration advocates and legal experts say there is no clear system in place to reunite them.
