Yeah I don't know what it is lately but I've been spending more time talking about how shitty of a person I am/feel. Obviously drinking every fucking night isn't helping me get out of my depressed rut, but shit the alternative is to sit around my place, sober, like watching tv or whatever the fuck people even do. As I've expressed and you are aware, I essentially have little to no interest in anything in my life right now, save for my kitty and drinking with the TC crew so I can at least have a semblance of friendship and social interaction. I don't know why it so humbling to read your post just now- I wouldn't even have seen it if not for sophey making mention of it to me. I don't like to make people sad.
Anyway I've been trying to research 2-fma and while the reviews mostly seem positive, I'm still finding myself scared when I read some of the potential harmful side effects, like the supposed or possible liver, kidney, and heart damage. I mean, I get that is an RC for just said reasons, and pretty much everything has potential harmful side effects, so I'm inclined to still try it, but I'm just being a bitch about it. At the rate I've been drinking and smoking, I've probably done more liver and internal damage than dozens of grams of these fluoridated amphetamines would do, so it's strange to be so scared, but then again, I don't want to die or like go into some weird cardiac arrest while my cat sits on her tree confused as to why I'm foaming and convulsing on the floor.
So far I can only find it for $30 a gram, but I haven't looked that hard, and I will continue to research a bit and look around. This is all new to me. Thanks for offering your help. kbye
Hard to say how safe any RC is but anecdotally at least I've gone though a decent chunk of 2-FMA and 4-FA with no noticeable lasting effects (well positive effects I guess if you count the improved focus/learning you can get done). Worst that's happened to me is when I took what was, in retrospect, way too much 4-FA I had a significant blood pressure spike and headache which I took an aspirin for and went away in a half hour. You can overdose if you want to I guess but it's not like you're hand is going to shake when measuring something out and you bite it. Standard harm reduction practices and there's really minimal risk of fucking yourself with moderate use. -

In all seriousness though, if it's an intro class you could prolly gimp your way though it but if you want a good grade or care about actually learning some programming you should probably do the VB class first. I admit that in my heart of hearts I have a certain affection for C++ because it's clever and speedy (in execution, if not compilation) and you feel like a real man when you're using it but I can't honestly say it's good in any material sense. Now I should say there's a strange tendency of certain college level C++ courses to teach this weird subset of C++ that's strangely similar to C but will still make C programmers laugh at you (that was the state of the one core C++ class in my CS curriculum) and that's not particularly difficult, the difficulty comes from the myriad language features and crazy ass templating (it's kinda like seeing badass characters smoke in movies, obviously bad for you but it's hard not to be a little impressed). Hard to say which you'll get though. I wouldn't gamble on it if you're not confident in your programming ability. A lot of people who pride themselves on being highly logical or whatever just don't grok programming, not so much because it's harder than anything else but fewer of your skills will carry over than you might expect (similarly to how people who are very good at mathematics in primary and secondary education sometimes "hit a wall" with formal proof, it's not objectively that difficult but it's very different than what people who thought they would be good at it are actually good at). -

How does that even need explaining? A city with policy that's non-hostile to the homeless has more homeless. Other cities ship their homeless here, people travel. Even if you could establish that concealed carry laws reduce the crime rate (and I have yet to see compelling evidence here), not all crime is equal. How many muggings and instances of petty theft need to be stopped to justify one lethal incident of gun violence? -

You know I'm rooting for them, it's really a shame they seem to be avoiding killing people. It would be really interesting to see an intelligently done anime like this with a misanthropic lead character(s), whose goal is to kills as many people as possible, induce mass terror, and do so in very creative and effective ways. Sort of like "Dark Knight" Joker.
Some people would argue that's what Death Note was. I'd say they're either stupid or deontologists (although I'm not sure there's a difference) but the canonical interpretation is that light was a villain protagonist and the ends didn't justify the means. -

I should totally watch it. It had someone important from cowboy bebop working on it as I recall.
