But I wanted to say to you, if I have one last post in me to give, this thread wasn't specifically targeted at you in any way. Your paranoia 100% justified.
I'm trying to take some of that power away from the "doxxer" folk.
I'm not suggesting everyone go and air their dirty laundry publicly forever.
People are allowed to have some secrets.
But also, exposing those secrets just to exert power over someone else is… basically… bullying, for lack of a better term.
So my end point is, be cautious about what you share on the Internet, but also don't always assume the worst when people have a bit of info on you.
Doxxing people, without their consent, is kinda fucked up.
But also, pre-emptively doxxing yourself might be a reasonable strategy in this day and age.
So I did it.
I think you're being extremely naive right now.
Also I really don't get the point you're trying to make, I'm not sure you do either. It really doesn't make any sense.

You're right, my whole intent was kinda half-baked to begin with.
But there is something relieving about doxxing yourself before anyone else can.
I'm not recommending anyone else do it.
Internet privacy is a right I truly and strongly believe in.
But, it is kind of a breath of fresh air.
I don't have to spend every waking day wondering before I make a post if I'm about to reveal anything that could lead to my personal life.
It's not feasible for everyone to do that, but... I'm not sure I would go to the extent of saying I regret doing it. -

It makes wonder what the correlation is between degree of fame and #MeToo allegations is.
Heck, I think an incredibly interesting study would be to find the correlation between some kind of standard looks measurement, degree of fame, and number of #MeToo allegations.
Call me a cynic, but I expect that the uglier and more famous you are, the more #MeToo's you'd have against you.
Not that I want to downplay legitimate sex crimes, but damn, "harassment" is so loosely defined it's ridiculous. -

With those fuckers there is no reasoning. To them the law is very black and white. Its either legal or illegal and they are just itching to make a monster out of someone and a victim out of another. Then they can parade it over the media to resend the message to the population 'hey look everyone, we're protecting you from all these big scary monsters that are out there'. Coz that's what they're really all about, making everybody believe in monsters and then that only they can offer any protection from those monsters.
Imagine you were convicted for this. What do you think the headline in the newspaper would read?
You think it would read..
"Innocent man wrongfully convicted for a relationship he had back when he was only 19"
Or you think it might read summing like..
"Sick pedophile jailed for raping 14 year old in 2003"
With no mention of how old you were at the time, conveniently.
Taking something like that and making it look as worse as they possibly can is exactly what they do.
