That way, Israel has to fight their own damn wars and we don't have to rely on anybody anywhere for anything. And a large portion of the violence and bloodshed in the world today is directly the fault of the US, if we close doors it should go away.
What it comes down to I guess is that the US (or any other developed country) doesn't attempt self-sufficiency is because it's not profitable, and in the current social structure, concentration of wealth is concentration of power. Old sources of power will always try to stop new ones from emerging. -

So... This is interesting. From what I can find, MbS (Mohammad bin Salman) hasn't made any appearances since this incident. It was reported that the royal medical jet left that night, but no details on who was injured, to what degree or even how. The use of the medical jet indicates a member of the royal family needed emergency care, so it seems likely it was carrying MbS.
Civilian flight monitors picked up the same medical jet leaving Luton in the UK and landing in Riyadh today - if the above is correct, KSA will likely need to make a statement on MbS' fate soon.

US is a significant exporter of agricultural products.
and americans cant afford to buy american manufactured goods. an iphone would be 3-4 times more expensive if they were made in the US. -
2018-05-31 at 6:30 AM UTCSyria - Protests against the US-backed SDF are escalating in more areas, largely among the Arab majority who are not interested in being conscripted into what is essentially a Kurdish breakaway state. There was one recent incident where US forces had to step in to stop skirmishes between their Arab (FSA) and Kurdish (YPG) proxies.
Turkey has been consistently stepping up their involvement, taking control of another 11 militant groups under the umbrella of Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir, putting them in direct conflict with both US and Syrian aspirations.
I'm finding this especially interesting because this is not a typical proxy war - Turkey is, at least on paper, allied to the US but considers their proxy a terrorist group that needs to be wiped out. -
2018-06-01 at 3:46 AM UTCIs it true that some huge fraction of the male alawite population has been wiped out in the war?
Is Damascus crawling with pussy? -

Alawites were never a huge chunk of the population anyway
No idea about demographics but I'm guessing a large portion of the male military-aged group is dead

it iphone costs about 1/3 to 1/4 of its sales price
companies sell their products at the price points they do to maximize profit. they could just as easily manufacture their products in the US and continue to sell at the same price point but making less profit while keeping the money within the US economy but they refuse to do so out of pure greed. -

anyway, american wages are like 5 times more costly than chinas. and thats a generous estimate. -
2018-06-11 at 5:10 PM UTCUkraine - DPR has warned that the Ukraine government is preparing an attack on the EU delegation set to inspect the contact line between government and separatist forces - the goal being to blame the separatists and garner international support for further military actions. DPR's intelligence group has specifically stated that the EU delegation's helicopter will be struck with a MANPAD.
It seems likely that Kiev has become emboldened by the latest accusations against Russia and the DPR in relation to the MH-17 attack and that a new offensive campaign will start soon.
***I'm writing up a new thread, just wanted to post this before (if) the attack happens. -
2018-06-11 at 5:37 PM UTCfalse flagging seems too easy these days
-
2018-06-11 at 5:40 PM UTCIt's always been pretty easy; just thinking about it makes me wonder how many attacks in history were 'false flags' that went off as planned.
It's just lately, with the advent of the internet and social media, people aware of these attacks being planned have been able to issue warnings without being silenced by mass media (see the last few chemical attacks in Syria). -

2018-06-11 at 9:54 PM UTCThe US appears to be moving ISIS units to the Pakistan-Afghanistan border (through regional proxies). ISIS-Khorasan (ISIS' Afghan arm) has recently started fighting with the Taliban, and Iranian and Pakistani intelligence have noted that they've also been significantly improved in terms of manpower and equipment.
