More like 5 lines of dialog per century.
I had mixed feelings on it. I didn't mind that it was slow as shit so much, but I felt like what plot it did have was too contrived to pay off. Like that sequence when he's taking the train, having an existential meltdown over being late, which dragged on for an eternity. It did a reasonable job building up tension I guess but the underlying plot was just the worst kind of Japanese romance melodrama that English speakers shit all over Clannad or Ano natsu de matteru for (justifiably). But somehow you give them a 5 million dollar production budget and cringy over-dramatization of teen angst becomes realism.
Kimi no na wa was pretty fun. I thought the last half hour or so was kinda uninspired in terms of plot but the setup was great and great artwork. While american audiences wouldn't know it, being released in fucking April here, it was a summer anime and it really shows in the composition, which is why I suspect it ended up taking the turn it did. Watch the biggest name movie of the summer for the prior 4 years and you'll see what I mean by uninspired.

What movie's that from? It looks like neil patrick harris as an adult, but it looks like a movie from the 80s.
