Idk dude, that's the billion dollar question man, and it really depends on where you are and what you have at your disposal. I haven't lived your life so I can't tell you specifically what to do, I can only give you general advice I sorta think works.
I made my money through hard work but a lot of luck and circumstances worked in my favour too. I'm not arrogant enough to ignore that.
So if I had to give you an answer, the short answer would be: look outside your comfort zone for new opportunities, then capitalize on them to progress your life. Repeat. For me, I saw my opportunities and I had the presence of mind and the discipline to seize them.
The slightly longer answer would be to set small achievable goals to improve your life and progress, and then figure out what you can do to achieve them. This will create opportunities. You look at them and do the same thing. Part of this process is continuous self improvement and practicing discipline. 99% of the time you get opportunities that would REALLY help you, it will probably suck to seize them.
It's easy to set up an "ok" life, power through 8 hours of meaningless work, dick around another 8 accomplishing nothing, then go to sleep and repeat that. Because it's hard to get the energy to come home from work, then "work" some more on your life. Your whole body tells you to relax. But you can't allow that. It's counterintuitive on a physical level and it sucks, but you gotta do it. That's the grind. If you're lucky, you get to a position where you're happy and fulfilled. If you're really lucky, you retire young, live in Florida, fuck college bitches and booze on Thursdays. -
2017-12-30 at 3:42 AM UTCLike, shortcuts are shit. Fuck shortcuts. For every bitcoin billionaire, there are 100000 tubes out there trying to catch lightning in a bottle. Grinding is the only reliable pathway to success.

Enter, you are an abject failure at life, and that includes your worsening attempts at being edgy on these forums. -

You don't believe anything I say by default because I trolled you so hard the very first time. I could tell you the sky outside is blue and you still wouldn't believe me. So whether or not you believe anything I say doesn't matter. You're employing the broken clock principle, and erring on the side of "caution", i.e. if you distrust everything I say, you can never feel silly again.
But all that aside, is there anything I said in my post that you actually take issue with? -

No, I assume most of what you say is true in the same way I assume most people tell the truth most of the time, or at least when there's no particular reason to lie. The claim that you have a minor fortune and live a life of leisure just seems specifically unbelievable. There are a number of examples of you undertaking some money making or saving scheme or generally being frugal on a level that makes no sense for someone with the level of money you claim to have.
You're going to say "you get rich by not wasting your money" but you know that's BS, things that are are a net loss for anyone making more than a typical USD earning professional, or just being generally pointless if money really weren't an object. The mmq monopoly money incident seems like a fairly obvious example. But all that aside, is there anything I said in my post that you actually take issue with?
No, I pretty much agree with it. A lot of people take "capitalizing on opportunities" to mean either praying for rain or chasing get rich quick schemes, which obviously isn't what you're saying, but I would say steady professional development is more important than waiting for the perfect business opportunity or whatever to fall in your lap.
The fact that we have similar ideas on the appropriate way to make money also suggests you're not as wealthy as you claim. -
