Have you ever meet your half-siblings? Due to heredity there's a chance you may find you're surprisingly similar in certain ways. The bad side is that because you weren't raised together from an early age you may find yourself highly attracted to them (that includes sexually), which could be awkward depending on how you feel about it. Personally, I'd be down with it. -

CASPER, do you know anything about the area? Any recommendation for the best dispensary? I'm going to miss Purple Star. I've had serious sleep issues since I entered middle school and need a reserve of the chron to stave off insomnia and sleep deprivation. Better than being dependant on sleeping pills.
Oh cool man! Thats like 30 min from here. I dont know anything in that area specifically, but all dispensaries here will be open for recreational use come january. There are probably as many weed shops in LA as they are Starbucks....maybe more. Im sure youll find something to your liking. -

whether it's a scam is dependent on the church itself I guess, but I read that the basis for collection and other church activities being tax-free isn't because it's religious, it's on par with charities doing public works - people are giving money without the expectation of receiving anything in return (ie. a business) -

I take issue with people actually tithing and the type of car a pastor should have purely from donations to God. When I was younger the pastor gave a sermon including a personal anecdote about haggling over the price of a Cadillac at the dealership for his wife.
I was just a kid but I was like "yo, that's just from these donations he just asked for. A lot of people in this congregation can't afford Caddys." -

Just because there isn't reciprocity doesn't make an exchange tax exempt. Large gifts between family members for example aren't tax exempt. And religious organizations have a tax status independent of charities, if it was the same principle why distinct legal statuses? -
2017-12-04 at 12:51 AM UTCI wonder what's up with the vatican being able to do whatever the fuck they want then. "Ah them niggaz be closest to God n shit fam"..that's like letting me sell meth because I know the biggest meth cook.

I meant the... ideological basis? not necessarily legal. I'd say tax breaks for charities and churches should be one and the same but it'd be unlikely to happen; can't imagine a church getting (properly) audited and not throwing a tantrum.
also, if I strip out the pk code in quotes, does that mean the 'author' field doesn't change if they anonymise their account?
