That's their excuse; there have been no Hezbullah forces at any of the recent bombing sites. Even if it were true they're violating Syrian airspace and bombing with a complete disregard for civilian or military casualties, all the while claiming 'it's in self defence'.

The jedi cries out as he strikes you.

Rumour is that the strikes were meant to deter Russia from giving Assad more Tochka-U SRBMs (and to damage/destroy Syrian launch platforms), but I don't see how they think that'll work.
  4. I hope this does all blow up, so to speak. It'll be fun to watch til we all die

Syria - After Trump's missile strike, Russia shut down the 'deconfliction' line where US and the 'coalition' could report their air activities to Russia and Syria to prevent them being shot down. The New York Times has reported US air operations in Syria have been dramatically cut down.

***I've been reading a bit about what's going on with North Korea, and I don't think there's a whole lot to report yet. US carrier group is chugging away, Pyongyang is actually mid-evacuation right now - Kim is serious. If I were in charge of the US I'd be highly suspicious of China's plans and supposed passive stance.

    - US just shit out a massive bomb onto Asscrackistan; (practice run for...? taking out the N.korean artillery buried in mountains with their firing solutions keeping Seoul smack dab in the middle of their crosshairs)
    - US shits all over syria with cruise missiles; (practice run for...?)
    - china is massing large deployments of troops closer to their mutual border w/N.Korea
    - US is virtually bending over backwards to appease and do nice things for china
    - multiple countries are deploying new (as in not previously or regularly deployed in that area) warships near N.Korea
    - increasing rhetoric from all sides

    = korean war part deux

  10. The MOAB strike is clearly a test... There is no way they are not gearing up for something big. For as much hype as ISIS gets, they are literally an ant on the world stage. They're not revealing out experimental weapons for some dune coons in the middle east.

MOAB is not an experimental weapon, really, it's just a stupidly big explosive charge. it's useless for the kind of war they're fighting in Afghanistan, and I can't think of any scenario it'd be useful where going nuclear wasn't already an option... I'm leaning toward the popular opinion that it was just noise, a general threat aimed at Russia/Best Korea/Syria and to a lesser extent, China

“No matter who it is, if they let war break out on the peninsula, they must shoulder that historical culpability and pay the corresponding price for this,” Mr. Wang said.

this is the quote from a high ranking China diplomat. for those who don't understand the language of how propagandists speak to the proles, this person is saying when (see that word...'when') war break's out on the Korean peninsula, they don't want to hear any of the whining.

I am under the impression that the fact that we can make such a ginormous non-nuke and deliver it is the special part. It generally seems a little wasteful, what with the square-cube and inverse square laws though; that's why MIRVs give more "bang for your buck" as a result I.e. shits fucked per unit mass of ordnance.

the n.koreans have a network of caves and fortifications a few miles away from Seoul filled with ordinance that has seoul square in their crosshairs.

generals don't care about cost...that's the accountants.

nukes and conventional ordinance are completely different in that regard. yes, killing a city is better with multiple targeting points, but trying to kill a hardened bunker with 8x 2000-pounders may not penetrate whatever it's made out of yet 1x 10,000-pounder will. (that's not a literal example...very general to make a point)

  19. Trump is now declaring that he will launch a preemptive strike on north Korea if he even suspects that they are going to conduct another nuclear test. Presumably he'll be relying on the same "intelligence" agencies that told us Hillary Clinton did nothing wrong.

Fuck you, trump. We elected you to get us the fuck out of the rest of the world's business, not pick up where obummer left off.

Especially since they've had the capability to strike the entire region with nukes for how long now? But only now that they "may be developing technology that could reach the US" do they give a shit.

supposedly the pudgy little bastard decided not to spark off a nuke on his national happy-day.

without that 'trigger' i dont see what valid excuse the west can come up with to commence with spank-ops.

    ...other than a false flag.

heh. i said spank-ops. havent said that in years.
