   I had a call with a girl asking about her account and telling me she accidentally claimed charges as fraud. They were a bunch of $506.95 or so, obviously for prepaid gift cards. The bank had closed her account.
   
   I also had to file a fraud claim for an older lady pulling the same thing. Funny thing about this call was that she said smaller charges at the same store and after a bunch of fraud were her own, all were done via EMV chip. She kept making excuses on why they weren't her charges. She was a bad liar. She also had made a large payment that got returned.

   Shoplifting is dying due to the homeless stealing everything and the stores locking up so many things.
   
   Even basic people that normally would not shoplift, are shoplifting because they know it's basically decriminalized and due to higher prices.

   Tweakers are digging into those blue USPS mail drop boxes, finding checks, making copies of the checks, writing them out to the names of people whose identity they've stolen and obtained prepaid cards for, depositing via the mobile app, and then withdrawing at an ATM.

    Almost everyone I've come across that has a special diet is not even healthy. They just do it to feel special and so that they can tell people.

    I don't see how how NFTs solve any problem or really the point to them.
    
    I think it's a fad creating a bubble that'll likely burst.
    
    If they were like for some type of limited cards(like Magic The Gathering) that could be used to play online, then I could understand, but I'm mainly seeing little images being sold for amounts that don't make sense to me.
    
    Correct/Explain if I'm wrong.

    I think inflation topped in June. I'm seeing prices of gas and food come down or at least stabilize. A full point interest rate hike or even a a .75 will likely bring it down.
    
    Unemployment is still very low and interest rates have been low for a long time.
    
    I think by years end we will see inflation under controll and the fed may even cut rates.

    Disputes and fraud claims usually fall in favor of the customer but I've seen the bank charge back for both. With disputes it all depends how hard the merchant fights. I've seen accounts closed due to fraudulent fraud claims.
    
    Too many of these can lower your RBI score and then banks wont let you open accounts / do balance transfers.

    In addition, if you can set up a digital wallet on an existing cardholders account, when a fraud claim is filed and the card is closed out, most customers answer yes when you ask them if they have possession of their device, which usually transfers the new card to the digital wallet, thus allowing more fraud on the new card.

    So I made this thread back in the day. Now that I work at a bank, I know that banks will authorize smaller amounts via mag but will eventually block it. The transaction also has to be in the cardholders state.
    
    Right now it's Instant Credit with new apps that I see as an issue. You can use a digital wallet and use a certain percentage of your credit line before receiving the card. There are some requirements but a phishing campaign would likely net a worthwhile yield.
