Maybe "Japanophile" would be a better choice of word? Although I feel like a "Japanophile" would be someone who loves Japan enough to understand that it has some... warty aspects. Weebs connect to Japan entirely through pop culture. They only want to check out 7/11 so they can stand in front of the magazine rack reading Shonen Jump.

It's probably normal here too, I'm not super familiar with the courts. Just seems weird. I would expect the prosecution to have to charge a defendant with the crime they actually thought the defendant committed? Like if you aren't confident that defendant committed second degree murder, why are you charging them with second degree murder? And if you are confident that they committed second degree murder, why would you charge them with something else? The lack of confidence in the charges being brought against the suspect, but the willingness to bring those charges against them regardless... just feels... not particularly justified.

It's... actually kind of depressing. There was a brief, glorious moment in US history when the American people realized that they were proles. It's *very* pretty. I definitely spent many hours fiddling with conveyor belts and trying to organize my main factory hub. Before I started playing Grim Dawn again I'd just (mostly) finished constructing a 2km long sky highway that links my main area to a coal substation and oil refinery I'd built. I don't think anything will ever outdo Factorio in terms of automation ocd, but Satisfactory was pretty great in its own way. Honestly if you have the disposable income it might be worth it just for the sandbox, which I cannot stress enough, is *very* pretty and fun to explore.
My main area so far, Space Elevator and highway in the background. Conveyor belts are kind of all over the place but it's much nicer than it used to be. Look at dat skybox tho. Oo baby.

I unno. I is what I is. I am that I am. Nothing much to talk about really. It's not really about wants, or even needs. I honestly couldn't tell you why I'm a tranny, or what it means. I could wax spiritual about how some spark of me ain't in the right body, or I could wax philosophical about experiencing new things, or wax psychological about the experiences that compelled me to do what I've done. Just post hoc rationalizations, and none of it really encapsulates the what or the why of it. I'll probably never really understand it. Been an ongoing thing since I was but a wee tyke.
As for how all this feels? Feels as it should, I spose. Didn't feel good before, doesn't feel good now. Better in some ways, worse in others. All in all it's a pretty meh experience. 7/10.

Anime is great storytelling medium. All there is to it. ≥95% of the shows that come out each season/cour are garbage. In a good season there are 1 or 2 shows which are absolutely worth watching (for whatever reason - great setting, great story, great characters, great fight choreography, great animation).
Are you necessarily getting anything of value out of it? Nah. Not every live-action western TV show is The Wire or The Sopranos or whatever either. Doesn't mean the rest of TV is garbage, and you'd certainly be stupid to write off TV as a whole when those few truly great shows exist. Don't be dumb. Anime is fine. 🤷

I mean... the dude was just a crack peddler. There was really no reason to assume "crack dealer who once threatened someone with a gun" would evolve into "serial killing cannibal who eats human hearts". Like it's one thing when it's Sweden or something and they let a convicted child murderer/rapist out after 7 years or some shit, and another thing entirely when some nog gets out 10 years early on a non-violent drug charge.
15 years for slanging to elementary school kids would be too much. 15 years for being too close to a school where they're taught is fucking absurd.
