Well, it kind of did work like that, because once the system caught an alt using two accounts with the same IP, it did further analysis and was able to locate even more accounts which had totally different IPs. So then you could run checks on those IPs and identify even more accounts, and so forth. So zok really could have called it the "One User Many IPs Many Accounts" tool. -

The best way is to never let people know what you can actually do, what you're actually capable of. The best bad guys operate just under the waterline. -

How do you ban someone who can just come back in under another nick and an IP from another country and cause a whole whack of trouble in the process? Been there, done that. Let's not go down that route, because we all know how it will pan out. Bad for you. No, your test would be pointless, because who would be the judge of whether the forum is more or less dead once I'm gone? You? A bunch of cooked numbers?
