But, then again, maybe things have changed in 10 years.
Just in the past decade they've really ramped up their takeover attempt. They even tried to open up a French-only university and bar English-speaking students from attending it and still get taxpayer funding, but the new Premier, an anti-globalist and staunch supporter of nationalism, Doug Ford, was having none of it. I'm serious. They're like a cancer. You give them one inch and they'll take 100 miles. -

Not because I couldn't learn it, but way back then all we English knew, we sensed, the French were the actual mindless invaders they ended up to be today. And we were absolutely right. See, some people, you try to help them and you try and get friendly and you try and share with them, and how do they thank you? By trying to hijack everything you have for themselves. So, I refused to take French, but I was forced to, as it was a prerequisite to go ahead and book other courses, so I just sat there and made sure I didn't listen to anything the teacher had to say, and I refused to do any of the homework or any of the assignments. When it came time for the tests, I just deliberately handed them in blank. I got a zero in French, but I didn't need the course to obtain all my required overall credits anyways. They tried, they failed.

Ottawa is now infested with arrogant and domineering French. They used a clever ploy, to the effect they need to preserve their heritage, and now they've commandeered every facet of society, with no room whatsoever for native Canadians. For example, you open the government job listings, or even the private job listings, and these jackasses will be have French as a mandatory prerequisite to clean toilets - a job you neither have to speak French for, nor even need to know the French language to perform. Anyone who can't clean a toilet and also speak French is refused for the job. You won't even get an interview. Where does that leave the English-only-speaking citizen? And you know why they do that? Because they're an infestation. A cancer nobody here really needs.
Imagine walking down the street in your own native city you were born in and you notice there are signs all over the place, but they're all in French with no English translation on them. Or you buy products from the store and suddenly notice that there's no English on the label, the ingredients are all listed in French only, and there's no English at all on there. Or you go to enter a free contest, but you find out the rules for the contest are all written in French only, no English, so you have no idea how to enter the contest. Or you get on the bus, and you look over the windows to read the ads posted above to pass the time, and they're all in French, with no English ones posted at all. Then you have a bunch of French pussies parading around the whole time and whining and stamping their feet that someone dared to post English/French bilingual signs in Quebec. If it was up to me, they'd all be rounded up and forcibly removed from the country and all their belongings and assets would be seized. -
