Not exactly spamming, but that goes back even further to a mistake linked to none other than Lanny himself. Some of the more knowledgeable posters are not happy at all having to post in a discussion forum which has been allowed to be inundated by mindless kidiots, posting their own "spam bullshit", in such a way that trying to establish meaningful discussion seems preposterous. Lanny never wanted to set down any posting rules, and I called him out on that mistake on Day One. He was just like, whatever, "I'll err on the side of doing nothing". Well, guess what? Doing nothing also annoys and frustrates those users who would enjoy some meaningful discussion without being swamped with a bunch of garbage a two-year-old coulda done better. It's all a matter of respect, not only for the kidiots, but to the more knowledgeable posters. It ain't as cut and dry as you make it out to be. -

I know you've been around in the whole Totsesphere longer than I have, or at least damn near close to it (I originally registered in '04, and recognize your name from back then, although you very well might have been around much, much longer). I appreciate your fervor regarding free speech, which Totse was, at its core, fundamentally about.
But infinityshock is just plain boring, quite frankly.
He's more nuisance than message.
If it's about communicating an idea, he's reached a point of diminishing returns.
Being bored with someone is not a valid reason to ban them. Sorry. -

It took less than a few weeks after my registering here to realize that infinityshock is unbelievably annoying.
But he actually was violating rules of common decency, above and beyond merely being annoying. ESPECIALLY now. Spamming Bill Krozbyby's dick pic everywhere is clearly a copy+paste agenda, and it's just plain obnoxious at this point.
When he first got banned, he was just basically insulting people. Who cares? Members have been insulting other members since BBS time immemorial, so why should infinityshock be the one to have to take the rap? Lanny himself has doled out his full share of insulting posts as well, so it's not like he's some kind of angel, the angel he purports to be. Other users were doing the exact same thing. It's just that Lanny didn't LIKE infinityshock. But in reality, who the fuck should really care who Lanny likes or doesn't like? -

That's not an opinion, or a preference, or a nice bedtime story, it's a fact. It's his own hypocrisy, and also his listening to and entertaining crybabies like Zanick, which caused infinityshock's (and others) free speech to be violated. Not an opinion. Not an empty attack. It's a fact.

I give you my word on the spirit of the Temple that infinityshock is his own man. I'm not him. And also, I have no feud with Lanny at all, I simply point out his numerous failings and errors. I just tell it like it really is, and nobody likes that. Lanny is the one who caused this issue, by harassing users he personally didn't like while arbitrarily ignoring others who were doing the exact same thing, including even himself (I already posted all Lanny's shit posts in the meat thread, including ones he himself posted after he already warned in-thread that anyone who posted off-topic from that point on would be banned). "Do as I say, not as I do." That riles me. That's not the way the Totse crew should operate, and Lanny is flying this entire site under the Totse flag as we speak. It's Lanny who has the vendettas, not I. He caused this problem, not anyone else. -
