Went to a rave out on the hills overlooking the PCH with my gf at the time and our friends, I ended up scoring some really good acid for cheap ($5 a hit for some good shit, hard to beat except in bulk), along with some fairly clean E pills. Had an amazing candy flip, one of my most visually satisfying experiences was looking at my girlfriends face as one side of it turned into a cyborg and the other turned into a dryad.
But then I had to spend the entire like, 4AM-7AM post party experience at my friends apartment where his girlfriend and my girlfriend talked for hours about inane bullshit while he slept in his room comfortably by himself and I tried to create geometric structures to escape the hell called female conversation. It was a particular kind of purgatory. Looking back it I probably could have just left and walked around or something but we had already escaped the cops once and my nerves were fried and I didn't want to leave a safe spot. So it was just fucking hours of absolute bullshit going in and out of my ears. that's whats so awesome about something like fruity loops, and like I said I'm using it as an example since its what I know. im not sure how it works in ableton or anything else. but taking a basic idea for a song you have, especially something easy like the beat, can be set up in literal minutes. melodies and such are harder, and honestly if you want it to sound good you want to spend more than just five minutes on anything. but it is really easy for me to just make a very generic four on the floor edm song, grab any random audio sample from something (pewdiepiewhatanigger.mp3), and bam you have a "song".
pick a kick, pick a snare, pick a clap, open up the piano rolls for each one. go ham. open up one of the synths and create a sound, use that to make a melody, grab a good clip of a racial slur, put it together in different patterns and you have a song. you don't even need to eq or fuck around with lows and mids or anything if you don't want to. be the sex pistols. just make musicThe following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -

Yeah I was leaning FL not only because of it being much cheaper but also it just seems like the most beginner friendly one. I DLd the free trial one to mess around with for now.. same as when you had it I can't save anything I make with it but whatever. TIME WILL TELL NIGGA.
purposefully subjecting yourself to sunk cost fallacy seems kinda retarded but also very much in the spirit of this thread. however, you should think about how much better it would be if you just had both, and said fuck copyright laws. Besides, if you're being serious about spending money, you're going to have to shell out for all the plugins and shit that take these things to the next level.
One of my favorite plugins, I forget exactly what it was called, maybe Harmony? idk, but what it did was you could feed a picture to it and it would convert it into a sound that you could mess with. It was the most fun thing I'd ever played with I think, taking a picture of goatse and turning it into a sick sounding snare drum or something. Making the 9/11 towers into a synth. The synthesia of it was just perfect.
Of course that's an example of something that's probably more for fun and less for serious audio work but still, you're gonna have to shell out for dem plugins and honestly just fucking pirate it dude.

At one point I talk and make eye contact with two cougars polish chicks and start een somewhat dancing with them or near them. And out o the blue this fucking middle eastern looking fuck this face beard hair looking fucker shows up and tried to grind on them. I ignore it and so do they but at one point he acts like that german fuck in bulgaria like im not there and hits me with his ass.
Next time he gets close i shove him to the side or sideways with my forearm and he doesnt like it. so he gets in my face and i tell him to not get near me and fuck off and he is still in my face so i use my front shoulder to strike his chest and send him to the ground lol.
he gets up right away and is in my face again. I wait for his attack it doesnt come. after a while i say cool man and start walking away and this fucker follows me. His ego is obviously so hurt he wants to fight somewhere outside but i know people are everywhere so are bouncers cops etc. and we are on a high floor.
I start walking back to the place i was at or before he touched me since he is following. I should have now thinking it back occur or took care of hi one on one in the cuts somewhere but who ever that ended up attacking me on my back or rear might have followed so maybe it was not a bad decision after all.
So I get back to my spot he still wont let it go and is talkig mad shit to me. So after a second is quare up and hit him with a right hook. He tries to fight or hits back we are at it in the middle of a fucking club on some dance floor on the top floor right now.
At one point he throws a leeping hook or a haymaker and i duck. He ends up slipping and i falling on top of him and i get one hit in and am about to ground pound him and feel some fucking fist or some shit hit me in the back of my head.
And guys this is where it gets crazy. Whoever it was who fucking attacked me on my back or from rear is either a bouncer or his friend most likely the latter and he fucking tried to go to town on me. I get hit multiple times in the back o head and once near ear hear some sound saying "fuck him up" (probably the guy i was about to destroy or indian looking or middle eastern fuck) and at one point either him or the guy hitting me from behind or a third guy tries to break my neck.
Literally someone in front of me grabs me across arms and neck tries to suplex me backwards. I am at this point just trying to survive or defend best i an to live another day. This is literally hell.
But I have training so I put my arms in to each there and dont let him suplex me backwards thus open myself up to them hitting my front or front of face or stoping me. at this point i guess a group of bouncers show up and this fuck the coward indian or whatever he is runs in the bathroom and i just go downstairs dont say anything and leave and go home.
whoeer it was who hit me form behind or attacked me i wonder. because i would have literally did to that guy bad things.
