Cry about CNN all you want, but Mexico's foreign ministry made a statement on it regardless. This is ongoing from news last month from when a nurse working at this detention center reported that they were performing hysterectomies and other gynecological surgeries. There are about 20 women who have come forward. This news is just talking about the two that Mexico is looking into. I'm sure they'll look into the others.

The doctor accused of these surgeries, Mahendra Amin, settled for 500,000 in 2015 in a lawsuit where he was accused of making fraudulent Medicaid and Medicare claims.According to Wooten’s complaint, the detainees, many of whom have limited English skills, were allegedly sent to a gynecologist outside the facility who performed the hysterectomies, often without them fully understanding why they were getting the procedure done. One woman was told it was because she had a “thick womb” or “heavy bleeding,” even though she had never experienced heavy bleeding or been told by a doctor previously that she had a thick womb, according to the complaint.
