Really depends on your definition of 'child'. It could easily be replaced with spawn. I'm not sure what a good scientific name would be. It is either time specific like fetus/zygote/etc or it's something like 'unborn baby' in which case you have the same kind of problem as well as the issue of listing it as 'unborn', implying that it will/should be born, or something, whatever. I don't know either.

also got some bad news this morning,, I had some buds I cloned when they were 5 weeks into bud they took root but this am we noticed they had powdery mildew on 2 of them so we had to chuck em out in the yard so as to NOT infect the bloom room.
rooting buds to grow into plants is called monster cropping, a but is many limbs crunched together and when you put them into 24 hr light again they start to grow again and the bud turns into 20 to 30 limbs,, these had 6 side buds and one big top so each plant was going to have around150 limbs/ top buds when finished,, could have produced well over 2 lbs each.
you may ask urself why do that and the answer is we can only have 2 mature plants at a time here in vt so its best to get them as big as possible and monster cropping can equal 6 to 10 plants on one plant.
Have you tried monster cropping to infinity and seeing how big it can get? Seems pretty abusable if you have the setup to support a big ass gangly plant. -

Just a side note: given the pain in the leg it sounds like possibly a blood clot may have broke lose and went to the heart. It's pretty instant and often not detectable.
